Oil and Gas Conservation
Oils and gas conservation ,its relevance in daily life:

Oil and gas conservation means their better and more efficient use with regard to economic, social or environment costs and benefits resulting minimization of wastage and protection of environment. A very high priority is attached by the government to conservation of petroleum products in view of the need to reduce increasing gap between demand for and supply of oil and petroleum products. Government has initiated various steps to promote conservation of petroleum products in the different sectors like transport, industrial, agricultural and domestic etc. these include modernization of furnace, development of fuel efficient equipment and appliances of LPG and kerosene. Oil and gas are non renewable resources. So we owe it for our children, grandchildren to use such great resource responsibly. Oil and gas cause a lot of air pollution, which is contributing to the rising rates of asthma and other respiratory problems. Extracting process of oil and gas also causes considerable ecological damage. Irresponsible use of petroleum resources also increases our reliance on unstable and frequently unfriendly countries. As you conserve, your own consumption of oil and gas, your fuel bills also reduced. Oil and gas conservation tends to reduce the demand for them and this in turn tends to lower price of fuels and products made from oil and gas to consumer. In order to generate awareness among masses about the urgency of conserving of petroleum products multimedia campaigns are playing a vital role. So finally I feel that by saving oil and gas we can give a better future for our

Furthermore, society currently needs oil. The United States and numerous other countries are working on ways in which we will lessen, and possibly eliminate, our reliance on oil. However, until that happens we need to continue using the resources that are currently available. Mankind is a very intelligent species and is able to create ways to improve our reliance on fossil fuels. Based on current trends it appears we will someday soon be using more “green”…

We Americans have a comfortable lifestyle, for the most part. A large part of being comfortable comes from the use of natural resources. Freon keeps your refrigerators and homes cool in the summer. Liquid propane, kerosene, and other natural gases keep your houses warm in the winter. Oil is used for so many products it is mindboggling. Not only is it used to create the gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, and other fuels to propel our transportation, but is used to lubricate those engines as well. It’s not just transportation engines it is used to lubricate; it is used…

In order to reducing gasoline, we have to recycle our garbage. Recycle can reduce garbage such as plastic bags, bottles, papers or glass. For instance, when we buy foods, we can use our own containers instead of plastic bags. Another example is after finish drinking the water from the bottle; we can reuse it or use our own bottle. If all this is being reuse, human can reduce deforestation and help save environment. Besides, turn off electricity if unused. It can save thousands of carbon dioxide and buy product that have energy saving because it saves cost and save environment.…

There are many ways to conserve natural resources, all we need to do is look around and find a way to minimize the usage of natural resource that we using everyday. For example, turn off the lights when we leave the house; minimize the waste produced by buying less packaged goods and reusable products, and recycling. These are little things we can do to help, and these does not take much effort to do; however, if everybody does the same, we can still make that difference. In the big picture, we can consider using more renewable natural resources such as hydro-power and solar-power. These energy resources are the best ways to conserve natural resource such as fossil fuel. Fortunately, many energy conservative products have been invented: hybrid or electric cars and energy-efficient home appliances. These are the reflections of people’s concern towards the natural resources depletion. On the whole, we need to start do our share to conserve the energy and resource as part of our responsibility to the natural…

It is obvious that the demand for energy and fuel sources is increasing drastically as time goes by. The United States also anticipates an oil demand increase as the population grows over the next few decades (Haug, 2011). Therefore, the big dilemma is whether or not the search for oil on our land should continue. The recent development and expansion of clean energy resources, although expensive, can end the battle over oil deposits and lead the country into a cleaner future.…

Continued apathy and negligence of of the environment is just not viable any longer. The only fossil fuel that is capable of lasting into the next century has the most concentrated, detrimental, and long term effects on the environment. Oil has some of the most horrific and immediate effects on wildlife when mishandled. Oil spills, while on the decline, produce abhorrent conditions that harm not just the wildlife present, but that ecosystem as a whole. Additionally, oil is the biggest player when it comes to fuel in the transportation sector, which is notorious for the greenhouse gas emission that arise from it. If those were not reason enough to make significant strides away from oil, oil is not projected to even make it into the second half of the century. Given this, and that we have the resources to pursue renewable energy, it is simply impractical to continue to maintain oil as a primary fuel source. Natural gas seems to me to be equally dangerous despite having the lowest emissions of the three because it is deceptively harmful. On the surface it burns clean but often methane gas leaks in transportation and even the enormous pool of issues that fracking leads to are too frequently overlooked. Again, irrespective of these, natural gas must be abandoned soon or we will exhaust natural gas reserves before oil is totally depleted. The solution to the fossil fuel problem lies in renewable and green energy. Solar energy is still young but it has enormous potential. Wind energy works very well but it can be a nuisance and an extreme hazard to airborne wildlife. Hydroelectric energy can be more widely implemented but the dams are liable to disrupt spawning patterns of some fish, particularly salmon. Nuclear energy is incredibly efficient but runs into social and economic barriers. After my research, I have come to the conclusion that the best solution…

Energy is very important, especially for the people of the United States. It has become an integral part of our lives and we have grown dependent on it. Therein lies the problem, however, because the more we use it, the less there is. We have to find alternative forms of energy before it is gone and we are left high and dry. Not only is our sources decreasing, it is also polluting our beautiful world. Reducing the use of energy and finding alternatives is our only choice when considering the future of America. Cheap gas may sound great right now but once it is gone, it is gone for good. We cannot be selfish and only think of the now, we must look to the future and preserve our resources so that our grandkids will have a good life. We have made…

To Drill or Not to Drill

I also think that we should continue to come up with new green technologies such as, solar power and clean oil. We should continue to research and advance those technologies that we already do have, not to mention create new technologies. One day, we will use up all the oil that the Earth has to offer. It is a supply and demand situation, right now; the demand is outpacing the supply. I have a neutral opinion I guess. I believe that we should continue to drill oil within our country and also create new technologies to harvest those resources. In my opinion it is important for the United States to be independent when it comes to oil. My reasoning on this is just in case of a war breaking out between us and another country or two different countries, but we are allies to them. This still could create problem for the United States, unless we are dependent on ourselves. I believe that I am pretty open-minded to this…
