In “Of Mice and Men,” by John Steinbeck, the protagonists are George and Lennie. In this play, these two characters had been through many struggles in their life together. The friendship had always been strong and loyal to one other. George and Lennie are a good example of the product of Great Depression time during the time when the American were to own his or her own land. Life was not too easy for the both of the two characters, especially the only things these two characters had was each other. Out of these two characters, I have to say that George had gone through the most significant changes the reason is that George to choose between friendship and morally and ethical right. He never abandoned his friendship that he had for Lennie but he wanted to make sure that his friend would not be suffering. These two friends had a dream of one day they will own their own land and life of the land. In the play, George had mentioned to Lennie that we will go to work and try to save money enough so we can buy and own piece of land and will live others.
