After watching The Great Gatsby, it reminded me of many novels I’ve read. A novel called Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, strongly illustrates how similar both Gatsby and the characters in Of Mice and Men are. This novel is about two migrant workers, George and Lennie, who dreams about living the ‘American dream’. But in order to achieve that dream, both believes that hard work and dedication can get them there. However, when Lennie made a terrible mistakes, George believed that getting rid of him will solve the problem. Both author has a similar theme of dedication and hard work will give them anything.
