Oedema is a build up the fluid which causes the tissue to become swollen. Oedema causes the skin to swell or puffiness; also, it causes the sink to be discoloured, the skin to ache, tenderness, weight gain or weight loss and the raised level of blood pressure and the pulse rate. There are types of oedema they are "cerebral oedema, pulmonary oedema, and macular oedema". Cerebral oedema is also known as brain swelling. The brain swells when the brain is injured, infected, and when the tumour grows.
