“Sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination.” -Drake- This quote shows that a journey can change you and it isn't just about making it. Its how you got there. In The Odyssey, Homer uses Odysseus’s journey to show how ones journey can change them as a person. He had many temptations but his main goal was to get home. The whole experience made him a stronger man mentally and physically. Mentally he was already strong because he made his mind up that he was going to go home to see his wife and his son. He did just that but not as soon as he would have liked. It took him twenty years to achieve this goal. He spend ten years on the battlefield and ten trying to go home. Odysseus is a king lost for twenty years after the Trojan War, used to putting up a fight when it comes to surviving a new land.
