Observation: Balancing School Work
He reported that his visit with his primary care provider went well. Although he felt the visit was short, the provider was able to listen and respond to his concerns. He reported that his prescription was changed. According to him, he is now taking off of Wellbutrin and on Zoloft.
He reported that he continues to be bothered by difficulty concentrating. He also reported fatigue and frustration. He noticed that it takes longer for him to complete his school work. He indicated that his concentration is interrupted by unrelated thoughts. He reported that writing those thoughts down helped, but it did not eliminate them.
He presented with difficulty with balancing school work and social life. He indicated that it is challenging to do both. Moreover, we discussed how everyday activities can become a source of stress when a person is in a new environment.

Also, it is challenging for him to balance his wish to develop social skills and do well at school.

I suggested him to consider integrating his wish for socializing and need to study (e.g., study group). He agreed. I also suggested him to consider a holistic point of view. He and I agreed that one strategy may not resolve everything and that he would benefit from perceiving his situation from a holistic point of

    The biggest challenge for many of us is how to balance our studies, work and family demands.
