Introduction

This assignment will compare and contrast the internal environment of Berkshire Hathaway and Viet Tien garment company. Various aspects such as: structure, culture, behavior at work and leadership style and others of two companies will be analyzed, compared and contrasted. From the study, reader can understand the important of culture and structure to the performance of a company. The sources are used are from: website, scenario,...
Based on and study, I know the difference between organizational structure, culture, attitude and leadership of the leaders of the two companies. Through that, we understand the impact on business operations of each company and the different solutions of each company.

1.1 Compare and contrast different organisational structures and culture

Organization structure is defines how job tasks are formally divided, grouped, and coordinated. (Robbins, 2002, 10th ed., pg.425)

1.1.1 Structure of Berkshire Hathaway and VTEC

Berkshire Hathaway is flat structure and wide span of control while Viet tien is tall structure and Narrow span of control.

According to V. Sivarama Krishnan ( 2009 ), University of Central Oklahoma Berkshire’s business model keeps all the operating businesses the way they were when they were acquired with no attempt to link any of the value chains or exploit any perceived operating synergies. This keeps the overall organizational structure simple with all the operating unit heads reporting directly to Buffett. This has made Berkshire’s unrelated diversification or
