1.1 Explain the purpose of supporting other people to work
When you work within a team one of your main roles is to contribute to the team. Whilst contributing you need to keep in mind your objectives within the team and also the objectives within the whole company because although you may work in a team within your department you are also in a team amongst the people who work within the organisation, you may all work in different departments with different objectives but the company objective remains the same. Each individual needs to work as a unity with other members of the team, support the other members of your team and put your skills on the table and take the job as your own
1.2 Explain the purpose of helping other people to work effectively and efficiently A for individuals & B for organisations
Helping other people to work improves productivity, skills, employment relationships, and morals. It encourages others to work to the best of their ability which solves any issues or problems quickly so deadlines are met and it also encourages a more proactive working environment.

1.3 Explain what is meant by diversity and why is should be valued Diversity means accepting and appreciating different individuals regardless of race, heritage, customs, beliefs, physical appearance, mental capabilities and how much money they have in the bank. Diversity is something that needs to be respected and valued because everybody is different and unique in their own way. No one is the same as somebody else so within a workplace everybody is different but they need to be treated equally because they all have something to offer and contribute their skills to the company. Diversity brings different views and opinions to the workplace, it helps shape many things like government, and cultural aspects including food, clothing and techniques to build and create things. Diversity allows different views and opinions within the workplace.
1.4 Outline the benefits of diversity to an organisation
Workplace diversity’s reflects on the different people working in an organisation.
Benefits of workplace diversity:
Employees from different backgrounds or heritages bring individual talents, experiences and culture An organisations success depends on if they can accept diversity and open their eyes to the benefits it could have to improve their company. You can get a varied opinion or solutions to problems
Diversity allows each person to bring in a collection of skills and experiences
1.5 Explain how to treat other people in a way that is sensitive to their needs
1. Respect – Treat others how you would like to be treated 2. Disrespect- Never disrespect somebody for any reason
Listen when someone has a problem, have empathy and sympathy in the right situation to relate to the way they feel about certain issues. Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. Ensure you observe people’s behaviour to analyse their needs in a situation and try to meet their needs. If you see someone feeling out of place or uncomfortable then approach them, make friendly conversation to try and lighten the situation. Think of yourself in their shoes and think what you would like to make yourself feel comfortable. You are never going to like everybody, some people...
