I also haven't been getting the adequate carbs for energy as well as vitamins to fight off infections/sicknesses. My Sodium levels also seem to be way off from the norm, and have been too much. I also need to start maintaining my health diet considering that I will be overseeing the health of patents' well-being and health. If I cannot take care of my own health, how can I help others from maintaining theres.

Maintaining a healthy diet can help boost the immune system, improve concentration, increase energy, maintain a healthy weight, and slow down the effects of aging. Macronutrients are nutrients that provide energy for the body. There are three macronutrients the body needs on a daily basis, carbohydrates, protein, and lipids (fats). Since “macro” means large, the body needs large amounts of macronutrients in order to function properly.…

Good nutrition is a matter of a balanced diet, low enough in calories to keep you from being overweight but high enough you don’t lose weight if you aren’t trying to. Green and yellow vegetables, tomatoes, raw fruits, whole grain breads, meats or soy protein, mature beans, low fat dairy foods, eggs and such. Being able to balance your calorie, protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals will provide the energy needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Also, try to limit foods that are high in fat, salt, and sugar as they will not provide the proper amount of nutrients.…

Healthy eating habits are very important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The nutrients that you take in from a healthy and balanced diet are important in everyday activities and providing you with enough strength and energy to accomplish day-to-day tasks. They also protect and repair cells from any environmental damage (“health eating”). A diet is not the same as having a healthy eating habit, a diet is temporary and a healthy eating habit is long-term. Healthy eating habits are much more effective, satisfying and long-lasting than diets are. Having healthy eating habits gives you the correct balance of nutrients that the body needs and also helps in being able to cope with stress better ("Healthy Eating: Benefits of a Healthier Diet"). Eating healthy can also reduce your risk of developing major health risks such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Healthy eating is also important in maintaining a healthy weight. Healthy eating includes consuming a wide range of nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, heart-healthy fats, vitamins, minerals and water. Also it is essential to minimize your intake of processed foods and saturated fats, as well as alcohol. Carbohydrates and heart-healthy fats are important for fueling the body. Vitamins and minerals help control and regulate your body’s processes; calcium helps to maintain bone health and strength, and nutrients such as sodium and potassium help in transmitting nerve signals. Without the consumption of these essential nutrients that come with maintaining…

To begin lets look at what is needed to provide a good diet. A healthy diet should consist of all five of the following nutrients, carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins and minerals. Carbohydrates are important as they provide the body with energy, there are two sources of carbohydrates, sugars such as in sweets, and starches found in bread, cereals, potatoes, rice and pasta. I did my presentation on addressing obesity with nutrition and this topic is a great matter to have a discussion on. I am always interested in controversial topics or something that is going on in the world that needs to be talked about. I did learned a few things about when I did my research that I did not know before. I personally, enjoy speaking in front of people, maybe not a huge group of people, but a class of students is not something I worry about too much. One thing that I have learned is to make sure you are fully prepared for your presentation, because if you are not people can tell. Especially having all of the information given to you and we did not have to do much of own research makes it even easier to have your presentation…
