Nutrition Observation Report
I did my presentation on addressing obesity with nutrition and this topic is a great matter to have a discussion on. I am always interested in controversial topics or something that is going on in the world that needs to be talked about. I did learned a few things about when I did my research that I did not know before. I personally, enjoy speaking in front of people, maybe not a huge group of people, but a class of students is not something I worry about too much. One thing that I have learned is to make sure you are fully prepared for your presentation, because if you are not people can tell. Especially having all of the information given to you and we did not have to do much of own research makes it even easier to have your presentation …show more content…
I thought me standing in front of the class and talk was great, because I do feel comfortable doing that. I like to discuss topics that interests me and things that I know about, and in this case I knew that I had a lot of information and I know how to delivery that while I am speaking to other people. I wish I had a bit more props and things I wanted I was not able to get, a visual would have helped my presentation in a big way. I think in any classroom or a lesson, having a visual is always a great way to get people interested in what you are talking about, it gets their attention. Getting creative with your planning of lessons or presentation will not only benefit the people who are listening, but the individual that is presenting. It makes you feel prepared, on top of things, and comfortable with what you have to show. I think that I did a lot of additional research and had great statistics to get the students attention, and I know that I did teach the a few new things that they did not know. I think I have a great personality where I can talk in front of people and make them laugh, but even I had to practice at home a few times going over what I was going to say. Practicing your speech or lesson, especially as a few teacher, will help you feel confident in what you have prepared. Also to go with that, if you have a time limit like we did, make sure when you are practicing to

I started off my presentation by introducing myself to the class. When introducing myself I informed the class of my name, job title, workplace, the type of students that I teach and what I teach. I do this to give a clear outline of who I am and my job role. During my presentation I tried not to speak too fast, tried to make eye contact with the whole group and ensured that I didn’t remain static.…

When I watched my presentation, I saw how I started with a strong introduction with a rhetorical question. I by saying “Who would you call? What would you do? How would you handle the situation? All these questions may be hard for you to answer in your crisis. I got the answer to clean up the mess you got yourself into.” Also, I give the audience a vision by saying “Let’s say your life is being broadcast all over the media or maybe even your company. We all know One of your biggest fears would be getting caught in a scandal or having a bad rep.” You got all part of my introduction to the greeting, thesis, credibility, and overview. I also, had the personality to my speech when talking you could see how enthusiastic I was to the audience. This made my speech be interesting and not dull and my voice a great projectile for everyone in the class to hear. In my speech, I had great eye contact so I had the attention, keen interest, and understanding for my classmates. None verbal communication is “Behaviors, symbols, attributes, or objects—whether intended or not—that communicate messages with social meaning.” In my body of my speech, I provided information in chronically order as my overview. I give great information about the education requirements, job outlook, and Pros and…

This is the first opportunity for me to present information of any topic to my class in a while. I’m not sure if I remember the last time I presented in front of a class full of people, which made me very nervous for this presentation especially in front of people I didn’t know and had never talked to before. As the date for me to present was arriving I began to get more nervous because again I haven’t done this is a while but once I entered the class I did a good job of keeping my nerves down and simply reading the slides to the class and presenting the information of my particular dialect very well I feel like. For many people presenting such things are enjoyable and fun for them but for me I’ve never been a big fan of presenting in front of a classroom full of students and in this case a classroom full of students I don’t know.…

Conducting face-to-face presentations are different from conducting online presentations. When in front of a group of people or face-to-face, there should be a plan to involve the audience in the discussion. For example, taking a short break to have a questions segment about something that was discussed would be ideal. While in an online setting, voice tone, facial expressions, and hand gestures are key to keeping the audience tuned in. Maybe throw in a joke or two for good measure.…
