Suicide prevention amongst incarcerated inmates is a measurable patient-centered practice problem that I will address in my capstone paper. According to Nursing World (2015), suicide rates within the correction facilities is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United Stated prisons, exceeding natural deaths and AIDS.
