NURS3062: Introduction to Professional Nursing Practice

Nursing Philosophy Paper – Summer 2013

Please read the following information carefully.

Your Assignment: Select one of the topics below (A, B, or C) and answer the questions that are listed. The body of the paper should be no more than 5 pages in length. The paper must be typed, double-spaced, and using appropriate APA format and references. There should be a minimum of three (3) scholarly references. (Wikipedia and encyclopedias are not acceptable as scholarly references.) References and citations are to follow APA format guidelines. (Include title page, running head, page numbers, and correct format for citations and reference list). This paper is worth 20% of the total course grade. Breakdown of scoring is as follows: • APA Format 20 points: (Includes: Margins and headings (1pt), Running Head and page numbers (1 pt), citations (5 pts) and reference list (5 pts), spelling and grammar (3 pts). • This paper will be submitted to Turn It In. Please see highlighted information below on submission process. • No abstract is required. • Key Points of Paper (Be sure to provide an introductory paragraph to introduce the topic and a summary of key points at the end of your paper) (80 points) • NOTICE: Five (5) points per day will be deducted for late papers.

Submitting your Paper: You will be submitting the body of your paper to the Formal Paper Drop Box. Once submitted, ‘Turn It In’ will give you and your faculty a read-out percentage of the amount of quoted material in your paper. A maximum of 20% of quoted material is allowed. For papers submitted with greater than 20% quoted material, faculty may deduct up to 5 points for being over the 20% limit. If your percentage is greater than 20%, you may continue to revise your paper and submit to the drop box prior to the deadline date/time. For your final submission, submit the entire paper, as one document, in the drop box
