Pursing a nursing career is a challenging, yet rewarding task. A lot of individuals don’t understand the difficult task behind being a (RN) registered nurse, it can have a lot of advantages and a number of opportunities like, great pay, flexible scheduling, generous benefits, and travel opportunities. Nursing is a career that you can take with you wherever you go. Once you have a registered nurse license in one state, you can apply for reciprocity in another state. With all of its advantages comes the down sides related to the physical and emotional toll the job can have on you.
A (RN) registered nurse is simply one who has graduated from an accredited nursing education program and has passed the state board examination and been registered and licensed to practice nursing. Today nurses typically have completed an associate, a bachelors degree, or a masters degree in science prior to taking the state licensing exam. Career in nursing you take on a lot of different responsibilities, not only do you have to provide patient care and education but you also have to provide support for the patient's family and friends. Mentally strong, as a nurse you have to know your stuff, it's nothing worse then a nurse who can't answer questions that a being asked by patients. Physically strong comes with lifting up your patients, and being on your feet for long periods of time. Mentally strong, as a nurse of course you're going to have to deal with a lot tsumitizing experiences dealing with sickness and sometimes even death. Beyond being physically, mentally and physically strong you also have to be very kind, compassionate, and have very excellent communication
