“America has the best doctors, the best nurses, the best hospitals, the best medical breakthrough medicines in the world. There is absolutely no reason we should not have in the country the best health care in the world”. The career of nursing is an exciting career because you are getting the opportunity to help other people. The research will describe the career of being a nurse, what is required to become a successful nurse and the impact this career has on society.

Until 1870’s, nursing care in the United States was provided by concerned individuals- usually- women- who applied their practical knowledge of healing to the sick and injured people. Licensed Practical Nurses played a vital role in the treatment and care of thousands of soldiers

One-year, state- approved programs are offered by trade, technical, and vocational schools; high-schools; junior colleges; local hospitals; health agencies; and private institutions. High school students can explore an interest in this career by reading books or by checking out websites devoted to the nursing field. To Prepare for a career as an LPN, you should study biology, chemistry, physics, and science while in high school. Some LPN programs do not require a high school diploma, but it is highly recommended, particularly if you want to be eligible for advancement opportunities. Practical nursing programs combine classroom learning in subjects, such as nursing, biology, and pharmacology. The programs reward you a diploma and typically take 1 year to complete. To Prepare you can earn an associate's degree which takes about 2 years. You can also take a 3 year diploma program offered by hospitals and training programs.They are all affiliated with classroom instruction as well as clinical practice. Licensed Practical nurses may choose to become certified through professional associations in areas such as gerontology and IV therapy, among others. Certification shows that an LPN has an advanced level of knowledge about specific subject. Nursing assistants help provide basic care for patients in hospitals and resident of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes.1 Occupational Therapy assistants. They help patients develop, recover, and improve skills needed for daily living and working.2 Physical Therapist. They help patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses regain movement and manage pain.3 Psychiatric Technicians. They aide care for people who have mental illness and developmental disabilities. They help patients in their daily activities and ensure a safe, clean environment.4 Registered Nurses. They provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.5 Surgical Technologists. They prepare operating rooms, arrange equipment and help doctors during surgeries. They assist in surgical operations.6 Nurse Practitioner. They provide nursing and medical services to individuals, families, and groups. They diagnose and manage acute and chronic diseases.
