The Decision of Pro-Nuclear Energy-
Why Is Going Pro The Right Choice?

In the world today, we are so lucky to have all the advancements we do. To me, this is the age of advancements; changes, the world is more than ready for. With technology at such an outstanding peak and the economy at more of a hault than other times, why not make a couple changes to help progess and improve issues of America? We humans need food as the world needs nuclear energy; the food helps us become healthy and grow, just as though nuclear power can help the world become a "healthier" place and grow in advancement. Nuclear energy is the world's largest source of emission-free energy. Nuclear power plants produce no controlled air pollutants, such as sulfur and particulates, or greenhouse gases. The use of nuclear energy in place of other energy sources helps to keep the air clean, preserve the Earth's climate, avoid ground-level ozone formation and prevent acid rain. Of all energy sources, nuclear energy has perhaps the lowest impact on the environment, including water, land, habitat, species, and air resources. Nuclear energy is the most eco-efficient of all energy sources because it produces the most electricity relative to its environmental impact. Nuclear power plants are an extremely efficient way to make energy. No other method creates so much energy out of so little material. Solar panels don't provide enough, and coal-burning plants pollute the air with smoke. But nuclear power plants are both powerful, and do not harm the environment. We just need to be careful and be sure to install the right safety features. With such advancements, our country will be able to grow. We should not have to rely on other countries to supply it and in the process hold us to ransom with prices. Wind farms are not consistent and a blot on the landscape, solar panels in fields are ugly and fields should be left for farming and solar panels on houses are ugly and only affordable for the few.

Nuclear power is “safe”. The UK now has enough radioactive waste to fill the Royal Albert Hall five times over. It is more reliable than other types of power and creates very little emissions. However the cons just outweigh the pros. Where is all this waste meant to go to? The waste will probably end up in the environment harming the earth. It is deemed safe but an accident occurred, the consequences would be catastrophic like the Chernobyl disaster. It has been twenty years since the worst nuclear…

Nuclear power, or nuclear energy, is the use of exothermic nuclear processes carried out in controlled manner, to generate useful heat and electricity. Nuclear power works by using the energy from nuclear fission or fusion to generate heat. At the moment, nuclear fusion is still a subject of intense research and not used in production which is a pity. Nuclear fission is basically what is happening in a reactor.
