1. The main point Upton states is that there has been a slower-moving cycle in the Pacific Ocean which is causing temperatures to rise. Across the planet, temperatures have been breaking records and it is expected temperatures will continue to rise.
2. Carbon dioxide has always been in the earth's atmosphere but in the past 30 years there has been a major increase of carbon dioxide throughout the planet. Fossil fuels has been identified as the main reason for the risen temperatures because the amount of fossil fuels that is being created.
3. There are many ways to prevent global warming, the most effective way of slowing down global warming is to save energy. This can be done if we limit pollution, choose renewable energy, and choose better transportation.

Poverty has been one of the biggest issues on the planet for decades but it has recently dropped from 12.8% in 2012 to 9.6% in 2015. For the past 25 years extreme poverty was if you made less than $1.25 but has now been risen to $1.90. The United Nations have vowed to end poverty by 2030 but has faced a few challenges throughout its journey.
2. They’re many factors to poverty but one of the main reasons is War & political instability, this is because many of these countries in poverty are badly damaged and have leaders who don’t know how to protect and held their countries. Other reasons for poverty are that their is a lack of education, overpopulation, and many diseases are spread throughout the civilians like AIDS.
3. A lot can be done to help poverty, for example providing an education will help children life skills they need to realize their full potential. Access to healthcare and Economic security are other two key factors of helping poverty on helping health care.
4. We need to help the poor as much as we can by either donating money or give up stuff you don't need anyone,ex:you can give up clothes that do not fit you
