Recommendation 4: Increase the proportion of nurses with a baccalaureate degree to 80% by 2020.
According to the IOM report, they wanted to increase the number of nurses with a baccalaureate degree by 80% (American Nurses Association, IOM report, 2010). I would like to go further in my career to either a master’s level in education. I know that the IOM report states that they would like nurses to be able to perform to the highest level of their capabilities and this will help the future of the nursing scope of practice. How will increasing your level of education affect how you compete in the current job
