Novum: Case Study
 Have you ever applied with the company before? If so, please explain.
No

 What has attracted you to this position with Novum? Do you know much about our company?
My passion for clinical trials research and pursuit to work with a reputable industry that will challenge and motivate me attracted me to apply for this position with Novum. I was also inspired to apply for a CRA position with this CRO because Novum has over 4 decades of experience conducting over 250 studies per year across several therapeutic areas. This is very relevant to me because I do enjoy working on a variety of projects or studies. That being said, this is a plus for this industry as it can attract people with a variety of expertise or research interests.

As an aspiring professional who has great interest working with other scientists to discover new drugs or therapeutic interventions, I believe the CRA position will equip me with the necessary skills to contribute to the discoveries of new drugs / intervention in compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practices. Once I am employed with Novum Pharmaceutical Research Sevices, in 5 years, I would have taken advantage of all necessary trainings that the company offers, advance in clinical trials research and monitoring activities, and possibly advance to another career level or position that will be beneficial to Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services. Within the next 5 years I should have also taken other national certification trainings and examinations that will enable be to stay abreast with the changes in the clinical trials research or monitoring field.

 Tell me what have you liked least about your past jobs experience?
I am content with my past jobs; however, the least thing I liked about my past job is the fact that there was no potential for professional growth. I believe this was due to the type of degree I attained, though. My Public Health degree was probably not the best fit for the company as they often preferred a degree in Psychology.

 Describe a time when you had to pay strict attention to the details of a

She works to synchronize the nursing staff with the core values, vision, and mission of our organization. I feel that a CNO should be concerned with making sure that nurses use best practice and evidence based practices when dealing with patient care. At our facility the CNO encourages nurses to perform research on evidence based practice measures. Such topics which have been studied and published include the ratio of patients to nurses in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as nursing care for the critically ill child. In order to retain nursing staff as well as engage nurses to participate in evidence based research, our CNO has organized a points system where nurses are inclined to participate in committees, board meetings, and research projects.…
