North Korea Threat
New York Times stated, “Today, North Koreans starve to death by the dozens, maybe the hundreds. But during the great famine of the 1990s, between 600,000 and 2.5 million people died of hunger.” That means that many many of North Koreans people die of starvation. The last War North Korea was involved in was the Angolan Civil War in 2002. Kim Jong Un killed his uncle in 2013. The government also treats there people poorly. They starve them to death. North Korea is a threat to the World because if they can treat their people that poorly than they can do that same thing to our people. Some believe that North Korea is not a threat because the United States has a better army, and we have more nukes. This may be true, however they still mistreat their …show more content…
The guards by prisons beat their prisoners. I know this because CNN stated, “Dozens of purple scars crisscross Lee Young-guk's lower legs. He says many are the result of beatings endured while imprisoned in North Korea's most notorious prison camp.” Another article said that the guards rape people. I know this because the article states, “Ahn Myong Chul, a former guard at Prison Camp 22, spoke of guards routinely raping prisoners.” North Korea has many nuclear weapons. North Korea has tested five of their nuclear weapons. BBC News stated, “North Korea says it has conducted five successful nuclear tests: in 2006, 2009, 2013 and in January and September 2016.” The Wall Street Journal says, “The latest Chinese estimate that North Korea could have 20 warheads today and 40 by 2016, reported exclusively by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, surpasses that of most U.S. experts.” If another country picks on North Korea we can still help that country and help defeat North Korea. Even though the us has more nuclear weapons and stronger allies they still might still pick on other countries. If we are good enough friends we will help ANY country or countries that North Korea picks

The North Korean state media released an official statement in December declaring a new weapon of mass destruction has been added to their arsenal: the Hydrogen bomb. In a statement released by a North Korean news agency on Tuesday, it was made clear that “the regime’s scientists are in high spirits to detonate H-bombs, capable of wiping out the whole territory of the US at once” (Vale). The testing of their alleged H-bomb was said to have occurred last Wednesday. Does North Korea have the right to possess nuclear weapons such as these? Kim Jong Un claims they are merely for self-defense purposes and there is certainly has merit. But, it is not necessarily wise, per se, to let a country comprised of communist and fascist ideals have nuclear…

Those are two things that North Korea does not have because the government is neglectful of its people. North Korea has not had a happy history. Before communism took over, they were under Japanese military rule (Sarah Pruitt). Most Koreans were peasants working on farms. Now, only North Korea is going to control North Korea. One family has been dominating the nation since its independence. The Kim dynasty has ruled for years and will continue to rule for as long as they possibly can. The Kim family has used their power to brainwash the Korean citizens into thinking they are the greatest leaders to ever live. This is manipulative and neglectful, it does not show trust between leader and citizen. If a citizen believed in the leader of their country, they would not need to be brainwashed to think that…

North Korea would have allowed the Soviet Union to set up nukes in that country and other Asian countries if North Korea would have won the war. This war shows how bad it was in the Cold War for if North Korea claimed to be communist and America would have feared that the leaders would assume that other Asian countries would do the same. So, because of this America believed that if war was involved, people would assume that America will not let that happen without a war and try to prevent that event from ever happening. This is why the fear was justified because if America did not get involved than the Cold War might have actually happened and life would probably cease to…

The differences in the United States and North Korea are not even countable. The United States shares many liberties such as freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press. The people of North Korea do not share any liberties. It would almost seem as if, if they breathed incorrectly they would be executed. Much of the executions and people in prison are due to political reasons, whereas in the United States they do not have political prisons.…

The occupation of the Soviets influenced the North Korean government to turn into a communist government. In addition, the assistance of Chinese troops during the war and their presence in the country until 1958 gave China some degree of influence in North Korea. In 1961, North Korea concluded formal mutual security treaties with the Soviet Union and China, which have not been formally ended. In the 1950s, after the Soviets had pulled out, the newly created communist dictatorship of North Korea invaded the southern half trying to turn it communist as well. The Unites States saw this as a threat to world democracy and assisted South Korea, starting this seemingly eternal war. North Korea's nuclear research program started with Soviet help in the 1960s, on condition that it joined the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). In the past years North Korea has threatened to launch nuclear weapons to neighboring countries such as Japan and South Korea. Recent tests indicate that the regime’s nuclear capabilities are improving, and they may be only a few years away from developing a weapon that can hit the continental U.S. Such an aspiration is not that far-fetched, given the regime’s recent statement and propaganda that advertises this goal with images of their nukes hitting Capitol Hill. With the amount of…

Both countries should be friendly and respect with each other. We do not want any of the countries to be destroyed for bad negotiation or anything that will make the country to live with fear. Both countries are beautiful to end it weather is a nuclear missile or bombs. All the US is trying to protect themselves from North Korea threats. North Korea is not the enemy unless they want to start a war because I believe that past should stay history and make the future better. Not just for the US, but for North Korea because we do not want to destroy the leader statue and image that they respect. Because if north Korea destroys the white house than we will most likely destroy the whole country, but the US are smart enough because I believe that we are stronger with better military supplies. If north Korea wants to live in peace than we should be treated that way they want to be treated because life is too…
