In the nursing field, every single patient is treated differently based on his/her diagnosis and situation. It is very important that nurses gain enough knowledge and collect enough information about each patient to be able to treat them individually. Evidence based practice is one the easiest and fastest ways to gain this knowledge and collect this information. Researches inform nurses about different effective treatments and their outcomes, and it gives the nurses the chance of using the best treatment for their patients. This paper will discuss the different outcomes of therapeutic verses non-therapeutic communications by nurses on patients’ quality of life.
