The Noble Gases are any of the gaseous elements helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon, occupying group 0 (18) of the periodic table. They were long believed to be totally unreactive but compounds of xenon, krypton, and radon are now known. The original name for the Group 18 elements is the "inert gases". The first element in group 18 is Helium. The symbol is He with an atomic number of 2 and a atomic mass 4.00. The second element is Neon with the symbol Ne, atomic number of 10 and a atomic mass 20.18. The third element is Argon with the symbol Ar, atomic number 18 and atomic mass 39.95. The fourth element is Krypton with the symbol Kr, atomic number 36, and atomic mass 83.80. The fifth element is Xenon with the symbol Xe, atomic number
