Nike Wants to Help Its Customers Add Soul to Their Soles and Express Their Individuality by Customizing Their Own Shoes.
Nike has a link on their website that allows its customers to customize their own shoes on the internet. If you’re in the middle of your shoe design and have questions about what to do next you can go to the bottom of the Nike homepage where there is a customer service link and through that link you can click NIKEiD and click the link titled Help Building your NIKEiD order. The only problem with this is that this like is not on the NIKEiD page where you actually build your shoe. If you have any difficulties, you can always chat with a NIKEiD agent from Monday to Friday, 7a.m. - 3:50p.m. PST, or call us at 1-866-633-6453 between 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. PST, 7 days a week (Nike, 2008). This would probably be easier because you’ll have someone to go over your questions while looking at the actual page.
Nike’s Website helps the company strengthen its relationships with its stakeholders because they can see how Nike is advancing with technology. In any business you have to keep up with the times and what people want. Nike is clearly showing its stakeholder’s that they can stay ahead of their competitors with new ideas and products and with the use of technology. According to the elements of their Website, Nike’s target market seems to be people into sports and/or exercise. If you register to become a member they even ask you about your exercise/sports habits, how often you play sport/workout, and what your definition of sports is (i.e. watching sports, playing sports competitively or not).
Nike also has a forum on their NikePlus website for customers to leave comments or ask and answer each other’s questions. (NikePlus, 2008) This helps Nike to build positive relationships with its customers. Having forums is a great way to see what your customers are looking for in your products. Also, the forum is a way to see what your customers don’t like about a product. As long as you know what your customers want, your customers will always come back.

By Nike using e-marketing its means they can base their products on the feedback provided online by market research and furthermore, one the benefits this provides for Nike is that they modify their existing products or develop their new products to meet the satisfaction of their customers. The resources that Nike can use from internet marketing are sources such as customer reviews, FAQ’s and feedback. Another aspect that internet marketing has provided for Nike is that it has allowed them to split products into two parts which include the core product in which is the actual product purchased by the customers that fulfill their needs and the second aspect within the product being split is the extended product in which are the benefits that are built around the product such as warranties and money back guarantees.…

Nike is a global leader in the world of athletic sports apparel. They have become this by not limiting what defines an athlete. According to their mission statement Nike believes that "as long as you have a body you are an athlete." I feel they have always been on the forefront of athletic apparel because of this theory. They were the first to market their products to all people and not just athletes or non-athletes. As you can see in their line of footwear you are able to purchase Nike track shoes, basketball shoes, cleats, dress shoes, and work boots. They are able to do this by not only marketing these products through Nike but also by acquiring other companies such as Cole Haan, Converse, Hurley and Bauer. With all these entities Nike still has to come up with ways to stay on top of the competition in America, but…
