When you go to the mall are you looking for Nike or Under Armour? There are many similarities and differences between these two brands. Nike and Under Armour both have a wide selection of all kinds of different things that you can find at any sportswear stores including Finishline, Footaction, Footlocker, and Champs.
Both Nike and Under Armour are similar in many ways. To begin, both are very reputable brands. Nike and Under Armour are both supported by people all around the world. Worn by nearly everybody if not everybody. Next, these two brands have a bunch of apparel for all kinds of sports like football, baseball, basketball, and a bunch of other sports. First, not only does Nike contain Polyester in their shirts; it also contains cotton whereas Under Armour does not. Next Nike shirts are more expensive than Under Armour shirts. You can buy a Nike dri-fit shirt for $35, and an Under Armour shirt for $17.99. Also, the size range is are also different, too. Sizes for Nike range from small to 2XL, and for Under Armour it is small to 3XL.
Another difference between these two brands is there shoes, including cleats. Nike has the Vapor Untouchables that go for $149, and Under Armour has Highlights which go for $109.99. The shoes range from all kinds of different sizes. For adults in Nike sizes you can get a 6-15 or customized even bigger, but in Under Armour sizes it is only 7.5-15. Also there is numerous shoes for all kinds of different sports or just for a casual day. The last difference is Nike and Under Armour Jackets. First just like the shirts, Nike is made of Polyester and cotton whereas Under Armour Jackets are made just of Polyester. You can buy a Nike Jacket for $110, and a Under Armour Jacket for $119. As you can tell Nike is cheaper than Under Armour for a jacket. These Jackets for Nike range from sizes XS-3XL, and for Under Armour is S-3XL.

In addition, it is supplying over 100 NCAA division 1A football program and 30 NFL team, and opened self-owned retail and outlet stores in 2007. As the result, they had 43 present of the total U.S. performance apparel business sold sporting goods stores, even higher than other two main competitors which Nike and Adidas. Under Armour has 93 percent of sale in U.S. market and 84 percent of sale on apparel; plus international markets and other product lines, it totally profit 0.61 billion in 2007. By comparing with Nike and Adidas in the same year, Nike grossed 18.6 billion and Adidas 15.6 billion. The consequence, Under Armour mostly focuses on the domestic market and apparel but neglects the international market and lack diversification on their product. Although they won the sale in domestic market and apparel in this battle, their revenue was much less than Nike’s and Adidas’s which they lose in the entire market and products in sports clothing and accessories domain. Moreover, Under Armour does not have a patent on any of the materials used in its products; it creates the most critical issues, which lack of proprietary product rights.
