Nightmare Before Christmas
The Art Centre Theatre in Plano, Texas showcased a marvelous play based on Tim Burton’s movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Originally generated as a poem, this tells a story about Jack Skellington, a citizen of Halloween Town, who coincidentally tumbles upon a portal that leads to Christmas Town and becomes determined to celebrate the holiday with barbarous and witty repercussions. The cast and crew members of the Art Centre Theatre executed the play miraculously.
When entering within the theatre, the lights were dimmed to absolute darkness. The music played subtly in the background leading contracting muscles on the skin surface to protrude. The Halloween theme was kept in spirit when the curtains exposed the stage and the setting of the play was brought into sight. There were two floors on the stage; bottom level bared the basement and above laid a scientific lab, with brains in the jars and blood on the walls. Far right

The director along side with the technical producer incorporated the use of fog machines at the climax of the story. As the plot thickened, the audience was on the edge of their seats wanting to know if Jack had really passed away or not. The fog was diffused through out the theatre creating a mood of intensity and fierceness. The strobe lights were activated and beamed the stage, capturing each and every cast member’s facial expressions of agony. On the same token, towards the end of the show, the play was to conclude on joyous terms. Christmas was brought back and Santa Clause was safe and sound. At that particular moment, the cast performed their very last song, and the artificial snow machines were initiated and ushered the show to a jolly christmas and halloween ending. From the multi colored strobe lights to the artificial snow machines, the overall lighting of the show was dependent on the ambience of each

One of the rudest person I've ever known was the Grinch from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The reason why I think he is rude is because he actually threw a christmas tree at someone and he wrapped a little girl in gift wrap and then left her there like a christmas present. He also stole everyone's presents. At the end if the movie the Grinch had a change of heart and gave all the presents back. That is why I think he is the rudest person.…

The opening scene establishes the characters and the context of the play while exploring the distinctive ideas that are developing. The stage directions [A burnt out theatre] metaphorically represents the world at large, introducing the dramatic technique of light and dark. Heavy irony is utilised when the lights turn on “a small dismal hall is revealed”. Through the illumination, a bleak situation is revealed symbolising the life that surrounds the inmates. Unable to differentiate between “normal” and “insane”, mistaking Roy as a social worker, “are you the social worker”, the distinct idea of illusion verses reality is introduced alongside the protagonist, Lewis, allowing responders to realise Lewis is [out of his depth] with both the production and the patients. Narrator: What does Christmas mean to you? Is it a family get-together, a big feed, Father Christmas and all that? Or what? There are many different choices that have been made to the set to alter the effects of the how the play is presented. The stage was set out in a professional manner with the use of props being very creative. The use of the area being divided into three separate stage areas made the use of scene changing easier and helped the audience to understand the setting. The stage that we were provided with for the production had very limited space and little room to work with but we used what we had well. The costumes that were use were very simple and effective. A Christmas Carol is a genuinely clear moral story based on a rambling account structure in which each of the fundamental sections has a settled, evident typical importance. The book is isolated into five areas (Dickens marks them Staves in reference to the melodic documentation staff- - a Christmas ditty, all things considered, is a tune), with each of the center three Staves spinning around an appearance by one of the three well known spirits. The three soul guides, alongside each of their stories, complete a topical capacity - the Ghost of Christmas Past, with his shining head, speaks to memory; the Ghost of Christmas Present speaks to philanthropy, sympathy, and the Christmas soul; and the harvester like Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come speaks…

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is based on a children’s book by C. S. Lewis and follows the book faithfully. Chronicles of Narnia is a good movie because of a great character story line, because of the allegories used and because of the good lessons for children to learn. The movie is a retelling of the biblical story for a young audience. One of the techniques Lewis uses to appeal to a younger audience is his use of children as the main characters.…

No matter if the toy looks old, broken, ugly, or nasty as longest made us happy to have it with us all the time. Sometimes remind me too, how I used to carry my cabbage patch everywhere with me even when my mom always told me to leave it at home, but I never listened to her.
