Night Reflection

The book Night, was written by Elie Wiesel. He was held hostage at a concentration camp for 15 years. Elie had a strong bond with his father, but it changed throughout the story. After being a “slave” for a long time changed him. I’m going to tell you how. First, Elie and his family got kicked out of their house and got moved to the ghetto. Elie felt horrible that his family had to leave. He also was upset about how families were being shot and getting kicked out of their homes. When Elie and his family got on the train he was scared for what was about to happen. He kept thinking of what he should do, or if there was anything he could do. So, in the beginning of the story Elie was scared and worried about other people and their family. Second, Elie got put to work in a factory, he made some new friends there. He walked into the back room to find something and he walked in on a Kap having a sexual intercorse with under age girls. Elie ran out of there as fast as he could because he didn’t want to know what would come next. So, the Kapo called a meeting and he spanked, and hit Elie
After a while Elie became very weak, but he only wanted to stick around for his father, because he is all that he had left. Then, one night Elie's father was getting beat again because he spoke his opinion, Elie didn’t care because he didn’t have the strength to, and he was thinking about himself more than anyone else. So he thought about himself and he knew that he could survive.
In conclusion, Elie has changed a lot throughout the story. He learns that even though its family he has to focus on himself in order to survive. Even though, he lost all of his family through it all.
