Time is always a big factor in accordance with work, and many employees get paid by the hour. Although time plays a large role in the value of design, it does not always mean that time spent will equate to quality. Weber from TNW News argues that putting value on design solely on time spent on it can be dangerous as there is often more to consider. In many cases companies care more about results rather than time spent and it can therefore be difficult to justify time spent if the quality does not meet their expectations (Weber, 2012).
To put value on design, would be to look at how the product or campaign influences it’s market, broadening horizons for new markets, strengthening your corporate reputation, ensuring that the design process runs as smoothly as possible etc.
In conclusion, putting value on design is not how much time is spent on design, but rather the effectiveness of the design in the market and how well its target market will react.

Ecological and environmental issues

I feel that this design campaign could do more to meet these criteria and as such is not very successful typographically. The colour scheme of pink and peach is attention grabbing and as such is aesthetically successful. The imagery used relates to the brief and as such it too is aesthetically successful.

Function
The aim for this Night of 1000 Drawings campaign was for it to function as a promotion of the event. All of the deliverables were either aimed at promoting the event or aimed at increasing artwork submissions for the event. The overall success of the functionality of this campaign can only truly be assessed once it has been tested in public. This is largely due to the fact that all of the designs are intended to promote an event.

In conclusion, I feel that Night of 1000 Drawings campaign which I created, could have been more successful with regards to Ecological and Environmental issues, Aesthetics and Functionality. Overall this campaign was still as success as it supplied more value to the event as a

Today’s consumers are constantly trying to judge the quality of products. But what is quality? How and by whom is quality determined? Using The Business Dictionary again design is defined as “Realization of a concept or idea into a configuration or specification… and which helps achieve the item's designated objective(s).” Design is putting into perspective how a concept is working and how it can work better. Design is the beginning of a product and lasts throughout the lifeline of the product. It could be said that design comes after innovation as innovation is the process of transferring an idea into a product that can be sold, and design is keeping that idea alive and working. Design is important to organizational objectives as it a process of experimenting and creating new solutions to any existing or predicted issues. This could save the company money in the future or create a bigger profit in the present.…

I have only been to an art gallery/show maybe less than five times in my life. However, the few times I did visit my mind was in awe due of all the magnificent pieces. From an art show in a park to the Louvre in Paris I always managed to find several pieces I absolutely loved. Sadly, I feel as if I might have set my expectations too high, as I had imagined there to be more pieces in this exhibition. I also wished that the exhibit would have been more harmonious but it being different pieces from many artist I understood as to why everything was a little scattered. I find myself drawn to pieces that tend to be bigger and brighter and I did not really find that piece. That is not to say I did not find other eye-catching works of art.…

Since their debut into the local scene in 2006, Caracal has gained fame among the locals in Singapore and is considered as one of the few bands to succeed alongside The Great Spy Experiment. Currently, Caracal has signed a contract with Straits Records - their type of label is still indie-, which is a local record label dedicated to develop and promote original local and regional music. Straits Records believe in integrating music with various art forms, cultures and social issues/politics as a channel and vehicle, for entertainment and creativity as well as education. Also, Straits Records actively organise music events at venues such The Arts House, The Substation, Esplanade and many more. Bands under their label have tours regionally to promote Singapore music overseas. [1] Through this, Caracal has been invited to Toronto to play for the Canadian Music Festival on the 9th of March alongside established iconic musicians such as Janet Jackson, Sean Kingston, Papa Roach and Good Charlotte. In addition, Caracal has just release their most recent album, “Bear. Shark. Wolf.” at The Substation with not only a sold out performance but also overwhelming demand for their album.…

At first, we contacted the artists to see their opus, and decided which artist we wanted to hold the exhibition for. And then we needed to find the sponsor which was a really important part of holding an exhibition, because if we didn’t have money, we couldn’t do all the following things. So when we got the money, we immediately reserved the place and bought or rented all the equipment we needed. And of course, we also made some beautiful posters to attract people to come to our exhibition. Those all the steps were prepared for a normal art exhibition, but we wanted to have a special one. So we came up a really good idea. Because the artist’s paintings were carton style, it had great commercial value. So we decided to use his paintings to make some merchandises. We printed the patterns on the coffee mug, T-shirts and cards. While we displayed the paintings, we also sold the…

We had to pay close attention to the numbers, layout, and proximity of the visual to our writing, and how each of these factors might impact the reader about what we wanted to convey. In my research project, we also frequently employed other visual rhetoric devices and aspects, like bolding our headings and using sub-headings to help the reader in following along with our writing. Our last reading, “Theory of Visual Rhetoric”, was not only relevant but also quite helpful in designing and forming any visual aspects of our paper. Lastly, I think my assignment employs the conventions of the required genre, complying with the formal and distinctive format of a research project. I used APA formatting and style to organize and present my ideas in a formal structure. My partner and I followed and included the necessary headings, like abstract, introduction, results, etc., that are part of a research document. Using these components, we documented and organized our ideas and observations according to the specific style and conventions of a research project on workplace…
