Part 2
1. Thinking about what you have learned in this lesson, take an in-depth look at your hometown. Using the terms listed below, write a one-paragraph description of the town where you currently live. Please include the name of your city and state in your description. I currently live in the area of Port Richey, Florida. Some examples of the physical systems near Port Richey, Florida are bodies of water such as the Gulf of Mexico and the Tampa Bay. Another example of a physical system in my area is its weather, which, unfortunately for us, is pretty bipolar. Florida’s weather is rainy, hot, dry and humid all at the same time. In the place that I live, most recreational activities include: golfing, going to the gym, and going for a walk. Port Richey, in my opinion, is definitely a human region due to its similarity in language and culture. We have an array of human systems but one of the most recognized is our variety of hotels. We built hotels in our area to encourage tourism and people to stay and invest in our city. Port Richey is a relative location of Tampa and St.Pete.

2. Convince someone to move to a U.S. city of your choice, by describing the location using terms from the lesson. Be sure to include the name of the city and state you are writing about and make your response at least one paragraph in length.

I would recommend Washington, D.C to anyone who is looking to move. This region is very well endowed with historical monuments and a variety of people. Washington has many human systems such as their museums, metro stations and subway to encourage tourism. The weather in D.C is desirable. Unlike Florida, D.C does not have bipolar weather. Washington D.C has a vast ecosystem with many animals located in their zoos and their plants placed throughout the city. Washington D.C has many cash crops such as apples, wheat and potatoes. I highly recommend Washington, D.C to anyone with an open-mind to moving.

As I grew older I realized that this town had done so much for me, and I had yet to do something in return.…
