Newspaper about Fire in the Outsiders
Yesterday, 19th of April, a fire stroke the old abandoned Church in Windrixville, placing various kids in serious risks and leaving Johnn Cade, 16 years old in an irreparable damage. He is in coma, due to a piece of timber catching fire that fell on his back, leading it to great damage. The piece of timber fell in Johnny while he was helping the children who where during a school trip getting out from the Chruch. Helping the children where Ponyboy Curtis, Dallas Winston and Johnny Cade. Eventhough the whole town has been talking about how this three boys are heroes, the Tulsa Times was investigating them and we discovered that they are not so heroes. It appears that Johnny Cade and Ponyboy Curtis are juvenille delinquents, due to the fact that they killed a Young boy, Bob Sheldon, back in their hometown. They are being accused of murder, but we from the Tulsa Times also looked for the whole story. What appears is that Bob Sheldon was killed by Johnny Cade with a switch blade, while he was trying to save himself and his friend, Ponyboy. Ponyboy as being drowned by Bob Sheldon while Johnny was getting the switch blade. While trying to talk to Johnny, we discovered that he is in coma and in very serious risks, but that if by any chance he survives he is going to be paraplegic. But in anyway, we were able to discover Ponyboy’s perspective of what happened, which is that all that they did was in self defensse. In our point of view, it was more of a gang fight between Socs and Greasers that went too far. Cherry Valance, a Soc, is in the side of the greasers. She says that Bob and the other Socs were already drunk, looking for a ight, and they ended up fighting. She claims that probably is Johnny had not killed Bob, the one dead right now would be Ponyboy, himself, or even both of them. The future is still unclear for the three heroes. Not much is heard from Dallas Winston, but he is not a minor and since there

To begin, Cherry has the same conversation with pony where she says that things are rough on both sides of the city. A lot of the dialog in the movie is word for word with the book. Pony and Darry also both make it the church in Windrixville, and cut and dye their hair. Pony and Johnny later go back into the church to rescue kids from the fire. Two-Bit also makes a comment about how darry would be a soc if it weren't for The gang. Pony also has the same conversation with Randy about how he doesn't want to fight in the rumble. As the greasers prepare for the rumble, Darry expresses concern about how Pony didn't look well, and should not fight in the rumble. Darry also wears the same shirt that shows off all of his muscles. After the rumble, Dally and Pony are escorted to the hospital by the motorcycle police officer. Just before Johnny dies, he tells Pony to stay…

Since Ponyboy is a Greaser, a Greaser usually gets jumped by a Socs. While Ponyboy tells about how Johnny got jumped, Ponyboy also gets jumped for the first time. “‘ I had never been jumped, but I had seen Johnny after four Socs got hold of him, and it wasn't pretty. Johnny was scared of his own shadow after that. Johnny was sixteen then.” Page 5. Also on the same page, "Need a haircut, greaser?" The medium-sized blond pulled a knife out of his back pocket and flipped the blade open….."Are you alright, Ponyboy?"” This shows how the Socs jumps onto a Greaser. However, after getting jumped, his brother, Darry helps him and carries him to help him out. Another example is when Ponyboy and Johnny just finished watching the movies and when the Socs came to fight against them. This quote shows how Johnny is loyal to Ponyboy and helping him out. “"You really killed him, huh, Johnny?" "Yeah." His voice quavered slightly. "I had to. They were drowning you, Pony. They might have killed you. And they had a blade... they were gonna beat me up...."”…
