New England, middle, and southern colonies
I was born in a country where basketball was not so popular. It was mostly for the rich people, because they were the ones that could afford paying lots of money to the coach, and the team to be able to play and learn the game. Since there wasn't too many basketball coaches in Iran, we didn't have many basketball teams for different age groups. Out of all of my friends I had in Iran for the 11 years I lived there, only one of them played basketball in a league. He wasn't even playing for his own age group either, he was playing 1 year up. He was really good of what I could remember, but I just thought that because I didn't know how to play. Has something like that happened to you ever when you see somebody doing something and you know nothing about it and think to yourself "WOW, he's really good", but it turns out they only know the basics!!! Now remember this, that only one of my friends played basketball, and he was really good; because we will get to this later on in the story.
In my family no one was interested in basketball at all, well my dad did follow the NBA scores from the sports news on TV like every other week. They never showed any NBA basketball games on TV, there was only a show that was on every Friday mornings at 5 o'clock IN THE MORNING! Since there wasn't many people interested in basketball in Iran, there are not many talented and very good basketball players from Iran. Either in the NBA, or the Iran's league itself.
Now I hated basketball also when I was in Iran. I couldn't even stand watching it for a few seconds when there was a game on the TV. And to be honest, I never held a basketball for my whole entire first 12 years of life! But I did shoot a soccer ball in the indoor facility where my dad's soccer team was practicing. I mean I actually didn't take a
Make up "Participation Points" (for 9/9/11) shot with my hands either! It was with my foot that I tried to put it into the basket. Of course I didn't make it, BUT at least I did play

After carefully examining your OPVL on the excerpt, “Gender, Work, and Wage in Colonial New England”, I could find no faults in how it was written. Your origin statement covers all necessary bases (author, primary v. secondary, date of creation) and even ventures further by including a small description of what the source covers. You then transition into extending your source description in your purpose statement. While reading, I became drawn in by what you had stated in your purpose statement, the idea that women at the time had done the opposite of what historians would have expected. Your value was extremely analytical and detailed, as you were able to point out all in which the source had to offer. Lastly, your limitation in itself would…

During the seventh century, Europeans established colonies in North America. The English colonies were originally established because proprietors from England were granted charters to settle and govern lands. Other European colonies were established around trading posts. Over time, the English gained control of the thirteen colonies through force or purchase; eventually, by regions were known as the Southern, Middle and New England colonies. Although the colonies were under the control of the English and had many commonalities, each region created a distinct culture. These similarities and differences can be evidenced when comparing the role of African Americans, a role of women, and types of settlers of the Middle colonies and The Southern…

Many historians have argued the political and cultural differences between the New England, the Middle, and the Southern Colonies were economically motivated rather than ideologically motivated. The New England colonies were formed mainly for religious and political freedom. Like the New England colonies, the Middle Colonies were more ideologically motivated than economically motivated since the people there were looking for toleration. In the southern colonies, unlike the New England and the Middle colonies, they were economically motivated as there were mostly plains with warmer climate and rich fertile which are the perfect conditions to start plantation life.…

The New England and Chesapeake colonies were both settled by English colonists. Most colonists moving from Great Britain to New England were families searching for religious salvation, rather than mostly the single men that traveled to the Chesapeake area in search of wealth. The immigrants of the Chesapeake area were greeted with a climate and soil that were perfect for cultivating tobacco, cotton, indigo, and rice. Those settling in New England could not rely on farming to support themselves because of the rocky soil in the north. While the majority of the Chesapeake colonists were not as cohesive due to the great distance from farms to these towns, New England had close-knit church events, meetings, and schools. Although, the New England and Chesapeake colonies were both settled by people at English origin, by 1700 the regions had evolved into two distinct societies because of motives, environment, and towns/communities.…

Back then the only thing I really wanted to do was run around, dribble a ball, and hang out with friends that did the same. Practices were all very basic, layups and dribbling drills, also there was some shooting and lots of running which is the same way i coach my 1st grade team today. When our season began, we went into the games just for fun. however, we started getting better and going into games with a NEVER LOSE attitude. And went through the season with 2 loses the first game and sadly the last witch was the championship. That night was the first night i ever cried over a game and honestly it was the last. Ever since I was young I’ve always loved basketball. It started when I was young and I used to always watch my older brothers play in the park. I always wished I could play with them but they always said I was too young. Nevertheless, I was still persistent and practiced my game every day. All the time I was looking up to my favorite player Lebron James. I would watch his highlights on YouTube and try to mimic his moves exactly. If he did a through the leg step back I would go right outside and try it. Whatever team he went to that was always one team that I cheered for. When he joined the Miami Heat I knew I would fall in love with that team.…
