I think one of the themes in this book “Exposed” is Never Give Up. Don’t ever give up on anything you want to and never let it slip without fighting. In the book it says, " She's been avoiding me all week long.” page 45. Yes the girl was avoiding her, but she never stopped trying to talk to her, like in this quote she talks about it with her, " Im sorry, Liz, but I can’t be with you anymore.Every time i’m with you I see him.” pg 131 " I thought we were friends! Forever-Best-Friends!” pg 130 I think she was brave for trying to keep cool and try to fix it. She never gave up on the friendship she want to still have and have her inner life.Another theme I thought was in this book is trust, it talks a lot about how Liz doesn’t believe Kate yet

    Aphorisms are concise statements about the world around us. Today, I asked my mother and father what were a few aphorisms that they liked. My father replied with the first three, and my mother with the last two. The first aphorism, “Play the hand you were dealt,” means to me that no matter what family I was born into, or what hereditary drawbacks one may be born with, I still have to do my best with what I was given.
