Nayla Kidd Research Paper

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY- A world-renowned school, Columbia University has some of the best science and law courses of any Ivy League school. Knowing this, 19-year-old Nayla Kidd applied for Columbia’s engineering course. She was a good student, especially in science. During her high school years, Kidd was a stellar student, especially in the sciences.
Some time after she applied, Kidd received the results for her application stating that she had been accepted into the university. She was elated. Nayla Kidd had finally been accepted into the university that she had dreamt of studying in. However, as she was going through college, she realized something.
Nayla was not doing what she wanted. She felt stressed in the pressured environment at Columbia.
I finally broke down because I was living a life I thought I should be living instead of living the life I want.”
When leaving, she just removed herself from society. Kidd deleted her Facebook account. She also shut off her phone and got herself a prepaid number. To top it all off, Kidd deleted her Chase bank account and opened a new one. She decided that she wanted to improve her music and modeling careers.
However, Kidd invested so much time and effort to be accepted into this school, and she just shuts it all down to work on music and modeling. But why did she have to take this drastic decision? The only reason that she would leave is because of the academic pressure.
The academic pressure at Columbia has devastated Kidd and her interest in the sciences. Academic pressure can devastate a student’s well-being and confidence. The more academic pressure is faced on a student, the more erosion their self-esteem and confidence faces.
