Navy Seal Team Six Analysis
Navy Seals experience diverse situations that will put their brotherhood together and their individual morals on trial. Throughout Seal Team Six Wasdin and his fellow Seals undergo rigorous training that tests their limits and how far they will go for each other. The main themes that show character development and progression of the story line would be brotherhood and morality. The theme of brotherhood in Seal Team Six shows the bond that these men have and how they work side by side no matter how tough things get for them. “After helping take off my gloves, they changed me into some sweats and drove me to a Wendy's where we ate” (10). This shows the theme of brotherhood in how they made sure Wasdin was okay and took him out for some food because they appreciate him as a person. This has helped lead up to that from previous situations when Wasdin helped them in some way or another. The theme of brotherhood is shown in several different ways throughout the novel. Another example would be “The spotter identifies, ranges, the targets, and relays them to the sniper execution” (6). This shows it in a …show more content…
Which gives the reader a deeper understanding of what it takes and how strenuous it is to be a Navy Seal. Also, how much Wasdin himself stands out not just cause he is a main charter but from being dedicated and just how a simple change in his mindset can make a whole difference. Because a lot of these men do the same training that Wasdin does and are fully capable of doing the same they just don't believe so which result in them giving up and breaking that reliance they have between each other. Which is where the two themes overlap, because them not having the same morals of getting things done and willing to sacrifice for each other breaks that bond where they were able to depend on each other

The theme is the brutality of war. When the college friends were discussing about the war they’re about to take part in, Kropp said “Two years of shells and bombs a man won’t peel it off as easy as a sock” (Remarque 87). This shows the brutality of the war because it describes the effect the war puts on people is not easy to forget and for many, it’s permanent. As the friends were taking turns discussing war, Albert explained his view saying “The war has ruined us for everything” (Remarque 87). This shows brutality of war as well because it shows how broad the effect war is on people’s life. The theme of this book makes it a good book because its outcomes relates to the wars going on around the world right now. And it has important message/lesson on life in the front in the Great War, instead of just viewing the honor/patriotic part of the war it mainly focused on a very important part; fear and pressure. Thus the theme of this book is the brutality of war because of the characters description of the life at the front.…
