RUNNING HEAD: MY FUTURE 1

My Future
Deion Branch
North Central High School

Did you know that the if you join the Navy, they’ll pay college tuition, and cover all your expenses? According to the Navy 's official website http://www.navy.com/faq.html (The Navy encourages continuing education and will pay up to 100 percent of the tuition for Active Duty service members stationed ashore who attend courses during their off-duty time at accredited colleges, universities, vocational/technical schools and business schools. ) Where do I see myself in one year? I will have completed my basic training for the Navy, I 'll also have finished up any schooling I have left to do. I also see myself finding out what job fits me, and one that I 'm interested in. The Navy offers many job opportunities from nuclear power, aviation, recuse swimmers, coast guard, and Etc.. In that one year I will move to any station in the world of my choosing, for either a couple weeks, or six months, to a year.

I 've always loved swimming, I could swim all day long if I could. My love for swimming, and the ocean is the primary reason I am joining the Navy. I can do something I love, and get paid for it, while seeing the world, jumping out of planes, into dangerous waters, to feel the rush. I also want to live a fit, and healthy life, and with all the training, and exercise I will be enduring. Plus all the experience I will be gaining, and all the people I will meet, and stories to tell, all the hard work will be worth it.

What will I have to accomplish in order to achieve this future? I 'll have to finish high school get my diploma, and get health check ups to make sure I am healthy. I 'll also have to go through two months of basic training on lake Michigan which means I have to fly outta state. I 'll need to know how to swim or they 'll teach me in training according to, http://usmilitary.about.com/od/navy/l/blnavyswim.htm ( Everyone who enters the Navy must

Furthermore, what initially interested me in the naval service was my family's involvement in the military. Ever since I was a child, I was inspired to become a military officer knowing my father was a non-commissioned officer in the Coast Guard and when my sister commissioned into the Navy as an officer becoming head of the physician and medical department on Naval bases. I was then driven to pursue a similar ambition to strive towards serving my country in the Navy as a lifelong career. My father works for the Air Force and growing up around planes; I generated interest for flight and the science behind it. I want to receive education from one of the top rated engineering institutions in the…

One is said to have integrity to the extent that everything one does is derived from the same core set values. While each other and with the persons actions that determine the person’s integrity. Integrity is the act of doing the right thing when no body’s is watching. For example, if Lcpl Smith is at the PX and the cashier gives him more money back then he should have got and Lcpl Smith corrects the cashier and gives them back the money, Lcpl Smith just should integrity. An example of not having integrity would be if Lcpl Smith on his way to work knew there was a way around all the traffic but instead of taking that faster way, he went through all the traffic just so he wouldn’t have to go right to work and told his Cpl that he got stuck in traffic.…

My dad has told me a multitude of things he has experienced while in the Army and the opportunities given at hand when he was enlisted. I have also heard praises from many family members and family friends to the loved ones that have taken another step ahead by enrolling into college, and enhancing their leadership skills to become well renowned officers of the military. America was founded on, and has been continuously defined by, extraordinary leaders. Without the tireless guidance and dedication of generations of these men and women, our country would never have grown into the renowned nation it is today. My initial interest in the Air Force Academy was sparked when I accompanied my parents to a Military Child Education Coalition conference in the summer of 2004. My father and I, not involved in the conference, decided to spend the week exploring the Colorado Springs area, and after touring for several days, decided to go to what my father called "Zoomie U". We took the typical summer tourist tour, but I was enthralled. The chapel, the mountains, and the campus excited me, despite my youth. I spent the rest of the vacation asking questions on how to go to the Academy, what I could do in the Air Force, and a slew of other inquiries. Years later, as a high school junior, I visited again, and made firm my earlier decision: I must apply. Since I first entertained the idea of going to the Air Force Academy, I have considered several fields, namely; pilot, navigator, air battle manager, intelligence, and even technical fields such as meteorology and engineering. There honestly is no particular field which calls me; any career in the Air Force is worth having. The education received from a top-rate school such as the Air Force Academy would assist in all of the above aspirations, from the social networking achieved from the Academy cadets to the loyalty forged in enduring the same system. Also, from what I have learned from Academy alumni, I will value most the combination of education, military training, sports, and sleep. The lesson of time management is taught to ensure that all Air Force officers know its importance in the military, and there is no better classroom for that lesson than a military academy.…

First off my main goal is to go to a good college. I really want to come out of high school with a high grades. I know with high grades I’m going to have a lot of options for schools. I would try to go to a maritime school or university to get a bachelors degree in computers or an associates in art. I don’t know which I want to go for first, I’ll decide later. I’d choose those areas because art is something that I’ll always enjoy. It’s one of those things where it’s all about you and what you want done, its fun and you have something to show for after. It’s like writing in the ways of getting feelings down to remember but in a visual form. I choose computers because not only does math come easy but it’s also an important branch. Think about how often everybody uses computers and how fast technology improves. Then I choose to become a seaman , seafaring is for the intelligent, the resilient, the disciplined, and the brave because these are the type of young people who can better prepare themselves for the hard life of seafarers. All of these will leave a lot of options for jobs and all in categories I love, but I only have to choose one then finally I decided to choose to go to a maritime school, because I want to become an officer in the ship someday and to earn money and my dream is to travel around the world. I have always been curious about other cultures and the differences between people in other countries. It would be amazing to travel the whole world.…
