Phuket: The Pearl of the Andaman Sea
Phuket is the only province with the topography of the island, and a world-renowned tourist attraction and a great place to relax. It also suited to activities in the sea and on the beach as well.
Phuket is known as the Pearl of the Andaman, the one of the most famous city of the world. With the beautiful scenery and sandy beaches, and crystal clear blue sea and full of the tourism facilities, Phuket is the most important island of Thailand, as a province in the Southern Thailand. Phuket is approximately 880 kilometers from Bangkok, and you can travel there by car, bus, ship, or conveniently scheduled airline flights.
Phuket is located on the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea, Indian Ocean with approximately 543 square kilometers. The length of the island from the North to the South is about 48.7 kilometers and the widest from east to west about 21.3 kilometers. Phuket is divided into 3 districts, which are Muang, Thalang and Kathu.
The stunning beaches in Phuket are without doubt a large part of its enduring appeal. All along the west coast, there are dozens of superb quality sandy beaches each with its own unique character; some are busy and can become quite crowded, others are quieter and much more secluded, but either way you’re sure to find one that you enjoy. Diving in Phuket has been compared to diving in the Maldives.
Or if you prefer to go upside the hills, you could try Leam Phrom Thep or Phrom Thep Cape. This cape has the most beautiful sunset view in Phuket. It is located 18 kilometers. from Phuket town, otherwise called by the local people “Leam Chao” where from best scenery of Phuket can be seen. For adventurers, elephant trekking is available in Kaho Sok. Phuket Elephant Trekking tours only last for about 30 minutes to one hour, and a lot of the elephant treks could be included with white water rafting, an ATV tour, and a few other activities.
