National Socialist German Workers Party
The Nazis were members of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, under the directorship of Adolf Hitler (1889- 1945). The Nazis grew into a mass movement and ruled Germany through dictatorial means (1933- 1945). First founded in 1919 as the German Workers’ Party, they expressed discontentment with the Treaty of Versailles’ terms, a peace settlement to end World War I, which required Germany to make several sacrifices and pay back reparations. The Nazis also promoted anti-Semitism and German pride. Adolf Hitler joined the Nazi party the year it was founded and became the leader two years later in 1921. Later on in 1933, Hitler became chancellor of Germany and the nazi government soon began to have dictatorial power in Germany.

Education was reformed in order to benefit the state, not the individual. The woman's main role was to bear children, cook, and clean. The Aryan race was the only "superior" race, so therefore Hitler wanted to have all Aryan citizens. Only the elite would reproduce and inferior races were restricted from breeding with the superior race. Hitler had several plans for his new Germany and for the world as well. Hitler wanted leaders in Germany. He also wanted to control what everyone saw and heard to maintain a working state. The youth of the world was to be under Nazi control, and Europe and Russia were to be conquered. Approximately eleven million people died as a result of the Nazis.
