Promotes patriotism, so people feel good about their country and generally complain less about taxes.
- Promotes unity, so people stop arguing with different ethnic groups and embrace the fact that they're stuck on the same piece of land for the rest of the foreseeable future.
- Promotes tradition, so those with conservative views will stay happy. Also, it's a bit late to change things now.
- Makes people feel proud about their country. Helpful in war recruitment propaganda. Also gives politicians the "I'm doing this for the good of the country" excuse.

In a way, it's a form of brainwashing really.
National anthem also known as national hymn symbolizes country’s traditions, ideals, history and culture. We bow and salute our national anthem as a sign of our honor and respect to our motherland as we appreciate the sacrifices of an ancestor who fight for our freedom and making our country safe and independent.
Every time before program, meetings, sports competition, and any other functions, the first thing we do is to sing our national anthem recognizing the importance on it. As it’s promote patriotism, unity and feel proud about our country. Being young and concern youth like me I continually protect and respect the national hymn and proud as a Filipino.

Indeed I am very thankful to all our ancestors who have bravely fought and risk their lives to depend our freedom and making our very own national hymn a successful
