INTRODUCTION
Education is the greatest weapon we can use to attain success. For this reason the Central Mindanao University provides high standard of education to the student that can be used in exploring the competitive and huge application of the technology we have. By conducting the educational tour it can help us more knowledgeable and familiarized with the latest innovation about the high-tech facilities. In addition, to expose the student in the different things they will encounter during the tour.
Objectives of the tour:
1. Familiarized the different types of hotels as well as their facilities and amenities.
2. Study the cultural, environmental and socio-economic impact of tourism in some parts of the country as tourist destination
3. To be expose in the different or possible fields as a HRM or a part of a hotel.
4. Apply the acquired skills and theories from the classroom.
5. Have a closer look on the role and functions of the travel agencies and deal primarily with national and local travel.
6. To visit the historical places in Cebu city and Mactan island.
Significance of the tour
Educational tour gives us ideas likewise opportunity to visit the prestigious and competitive hotels at the same time business that can be an instrument for us to have a better future. It helps us to develop our personality since social graces and etiquette are learned by experience with association and observation in formal statement of a transaction. Moreover important to every student since it is a part of our learning process and to acquire more knowledge through the actual exposure to the different technology, educational institution and historical places in the said city.
The Educational tour: a Narrative
Last September 2-5, 2010 we the second year students together with some of the students in higher years go to Cebu city for the educational tour that was part of the requirement needed in our subject titled Tourism, together with our subject teachers, ma’am
