narrative my future life story
I sit on a lounge chair at a Caribbean beach with a cold cocktail glass. My husband who is by me my entire life looks at me with lovely eyes. Humid, warm and cool wind from the ocean pushesthe brim of my wide hat upwards. I sip my cocktail and toast with my lovely husband. We listen to old pop, smile, and kiss one another. My husband and I stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Caribbean for almost six months. We saved money for our retirement to spend our entire life traveling around the world.
“Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor.” Sholom Aleichem said. Yes, my husband and I worked hard, were faithful, and we’ve never been lazy, but it’s time to enjoy our life to compensate our past hard work. We do not have any family worries. We only have to worry about is how we stay healthy and happy every single day. My lovely husband is still in good shape, and feels many women staring due to show his flat as a board body. So I am very proud that I am his wife. Indeed, I also have a beautiful body, and it looks like a 40 years olds shape. Many bartenders and hotel workers try to talk with me about how we keep our lives so enjoyable without conflicts.Since my lovely husband and I retired, and started to travel around the world we have had the same questions from people many times “What are the secrets that you maintain your health, money, and happiness?”
Our stories start from the past when we met the first time. We had chatted online several times, and finally we met on a chilly day. It was on the end of April. We both had the same experience of beingdivorced so we knew how marriage is difficult to be happy. We both had no kids, but we were working hard for our future, and communicated well. We liked the same kinds of food, and had the same ideas of common sense. Even though I am Asian, he was interested in Asian culture, and learned many things himself. We dated for a few years. When I envision my lifetime goals I picture two things, a pristine white lab coat and a humanitarian award. The lab coat represents my goal to become a medical doctor and my hope to be involved with major medical research throughout my lifetime. The award symbolizes my dream to be recognized as a person who adhered a monumental impact on the world whether it be through heroic volunteerism or through inventing innovative methods that can be utilized in aiding the less fortunate. Although, I plan to achieve both of these goals later in the future I am working towards them today with my involvement in extra- curricular activities.…

Who am I? That has always been an essential question for as long as I can remember. I never really understood why we had to answer that question along the way, but I’m now a senior at SJPII and I still have no idea who I am. It really bothers me that for 16 years I still haven’t figured out who I am. Constantly going from class to class and making new friends I still can’t pin point who the “real” me is.…

Growing up, most of the children I knew would go to church on Sunday’s, visit their grandparents’ house to bake cookies after school, and have milk and cereal for breakfast every morning. But I had never set foot inside of a religious building, couldn’t even speak the same language as my grandmothers, and ate congee with fermented soy beans like it was the most natural thing in the world. My little town where I’d grown up, made friends, and built memories was, to say the least, completely un-diverse.…

It has been a struggle; it has consumed a decent portion of my free time, nevertheless in the end, I have become a capable, confident writer. One single person does not accomplish writing alone. Much like raising children, it takes a village to grow and develop from infancy to adulthood and I couldn’t have come this far without everyone’s help..…

My whole life I have been a leader, the rule maker, the boss, a take charge and a "get stuff done" type of person. These qualities I attribute to being the oldest sibling, raised by a strong mother, and a stepfather determined to raise another man’s child as best he could. I thrive in situations where I can have control and can help guide a team or myself to the best possible outcome. I apply these characteristics to nearly every aspect of my life, sometimes to a fault. After dropping out of college eight years previously, to follow my dreams of being a makeup artist, I woke up one day and decided my life need a change. Not completing school had always weighed on me over the years like an unfinished task needing to be done. So, why now, what changed? My outlook on life shifted after meeting a special little boy named Jackson.…

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “To be yourself in a world that is trying to make you something else is a great accomplishment”. A question such as “who am I”? Really gives me the opportunity to differentiate and express who I really am and who I can be. I am not a complex person who thinks the world is against me, nor am I overly sophisticated “know-it-all” who doesn't take time to pay attention to my surroundings. I can't say that I am like every other person because there are certain things that make me a unique individual. What I can say is that I am progressing towards a brighter future.…

My actions are always a direct showcase of my personal characteristics. A few that are particularly important are having patience, being non-judgmental, and thinking creatively. I learned a majority of my patience through my position as a research position. Research does not have immediate results; a good experiment takes time. My seemingly menial tasks, such as entering data, eventually contributed to the final product. I learned to be non-judgmental in my time shadowing an obstetrician, where I interacted with patients with so many stories. To judge them would cause a disservice, and potentially harm them. Finally, I learned to think creatively during my time at the Guild for Human Services. Each student was unique in his or her problems,…

Personal background starts off small, it changes and grows over time into something big, it grows into an identity. Walking down the hallway at school, seeing someone standing alone, my first instinct is to make conversation, compliment, or even just smile at him or her. This instinct came from someone once telling me an act so small could turn a person's entire life around. As a kid, reading encyclopedias about random topics, consumed my time. Many days were spent coming home to find an injured wild animal in my dad's arms waiting to be saved. My dad would sit outside and draw animals, trees, and anything else he saw. Nothing excited me more than trying to draw whatever my dad drew, and as good as he did. Any assignment that was handed to…

American climate scientist, Mark Caine, exclaims, “The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself”. Beginning my high school career, I thought high school would be an easy transition because I was accustomed to getting good grades in grammar school, so I did not put as much of an effort as I could have in my studies. The first biology test arrived, and I thought I was knowledgeable on the subject matter so I briefly looked over the material. Approximately a week later I got my test back and I was not satisfied with my grade. That happened for most of my first tests in each of my classes. I learned I would not be satisfied with my grades if I continued to keep those…
