Narrative Essay On Kocobo School
A Kokomo mother wants justice for her daughter, after she was bullied on a school bus Monday.

News 18 reports how the school promises to keep her daughter and other students safe both on and off the bus.

Monday was unlike any other bus ride home for Kokomo seventh grader Kaydence Parsons.

“They said she wanted to fight me,” said Kaydence. “And I didn’t think anything of it.”

Kaydence said she walked onto the bus and grabbed a seat, when the girl sitting behind her confronted her.

“She said I was talking about her, and all this other stuff,” said Kaydence. “But I wasn’t talking about her.”

Kaydence said when the girl got up to get off at her bus stop, “she put on her backpack and then she grabbed my hair and started hitting me.”

Kaydence was crouched down, unable to defend herself while taking multiple hits to her head.

“Telling her to keep doing it.”

Kaydence’s mother, Nicole Parsons, expressed she was outraged when she heard about the incident.

“They’re on school property when their on the bus. So you send them on a bus, you put them in school, you think they’re going to be safe,” said Parsons.

Kokomo School Corporation isn’t taking it lightly and took proper protocol and safety procedures.

Director of Communications David Barnes said they have already disciplined the student and are doing their best to make sure Kadence is safe both on the bus and at school.

“We would hope students understand and they listen to this too,” said Barnes. “We hope they take a message from the discipline that was handed out.”

Barnes expressed students who filmed the fight with their phones and did nothing to help will also undergo some disciplinary action.

Parsons has filed a police report with the school’s resource
