Narrative Essay On Joining The Military
My father’s military service didn’t comprehend to me until my mother finally allowed me to see him and create a bond with him, and I soon discovered why. I got a chance to spend the weekend with him which started off my visitation process. It was me and one of my younger sibling’s spending time with him, it was around eight pm when I heard a noise. I woke up to go check on him I was around the age of 6 ½, as I'm approaching the area he was in. I see him talking to his self and looking out the window it seemed it was a weird noise outside. I assumed he was trying to figure out what it was, but at the time I didn't put the pieces together until I had gotten older. I asked him was he ok and he responded "yes, I'm ok I'm just protecting our home"

The reason of that is because many die over violence, and other tragic reasons, instead he fought for not only our country but for his own families' freedom. When I and my father meet up and talk he always tells me about his military days and the sacrifices he had to make. I enjoy listening to them all the time, but sometimes the stories take another turn and it’s hard to understand all the trauma his brain and his body are taking in. How he also cannot be able to live out the rest of his life peacefully. It has definitely inspired me to be the best I can be as his oldest daughter. I pave the way not only for some of my youngest sibling’s but a few of my older siblings by going to college and doing something I love which is fashion and giving back to the people around me and also blessing my love ones. I’m becoming the person that they couldn’t be and also the person that they can be in their own individual way. I love my father and I want to make him proud of me and all of my future endeavors by succeeding and not giving up. He has open many doors for us and I truly appreciate him because I'm sure it was not easy for all those years. It would be an even greater honor by receiving this scholarship in regards to the many sacrifices my father made for this
