I was sitting in the woods with my dad for about 30 min then all of the sudden ¨BANG¨ it dropped dead in 5 min. That´s why I always bring doe pee with me now. During that week me and my dad were working on this guy´s house and we were about done. Me and him were excited for huntin season to start because we found a new spot to hunt. When we were done working we went to the spot and saw a couple doe and like 2 bucks.
After we found a spot to sit we were sitting and looking for any big game then we saw this massive 12 point buck walk out in front of us about 200 hundred yards away. To bad hunting season did not start until next week or I would of already shot it. The next day after we were done working we went to Walmart to get some stuff we needed for deer season this week. We went back to the spot and cleaned it up a little bit and got it ready so we can be ready on opening day instead of trying to fix it

It wasn't the massive one we saw the other day bit it was still pretty good size. We waited about 30 min so we could get a good shot then after it stopped ¨BANG¨ it ran about 10 yards then dropped dead. We waited about 20 min to make sure it bleed out before we got out of our spot. When we left are spot to find the deer we saw it laying right where we heard it fall and it was a good 8 point. It was the biggest deer I ever shot in my life. It weighed about 230 or more and the mass on the deer was huge. When I got home and showed it to my family they were so happy for me because i've been trying to get a buck since I was little. I went to get it mounted and I couldn't wait to get it back next hunting season. Now since i got a buck now i'm going to keep trying to get a bigger one each year because i always like having competitions with myself. So hopefully next year I can get a bigger buck then I got this

When he got a little closer, he saw a very large animal who was covering an abnormally large amount of ground in a short amount of time. He describes the animal as to cover about fifteen to twenty feet in just two strides, while not running. The creature made absolutely no noticeable noise. He mentions what he saw was the creature standing seven to seven and a half feet tall and an estimated five hundred pounds in weight. He describes the creature as being muscular and covered with dark fur, with long arms and hunched over posture. The deer hunter states that the creature moved quickly down the hillside and was gone in just a few seconds. Like both of the above incidents, it happened in a wooded area which provides plenty of coverage for the…

It’s November, so that means its deer season. Every year deer season starts on the second weekend of November and last for ten days. I get really excited around August because during this time my family and I start exploring the woods looking for signs of deer. We look for signs like scrapes on trees, footprints, and tall grass that looks like it has been laid on and flattened. We set salt blocks out around our tree stands and set our cameras out hoping to catch a picture of a big buck. After we finish all the preparing we wait until the first week of November. During the first week of November we go back to our stands, check the salt blocks, set new blocks out, and grab our cameras to take back home. Once we get home we look at the pictures…

Whitetail deer can run up to 30 miles per hour on a sprint. The whitetail deer gets its speed from the beginning of their generation. Their speed is key because they are a prey animal. When chased by prey, whitetail deer can jump over things twice their height and twice the distance. Deer are known to be able to cover 30 feet in a single leap into a open field. Deer usually have an escape route before their pursuer can chase them. Whitetail will also run in circles so they confuse their pursuer, so they can’t sniff their trail as well. Deer will also walk in water so that their trail will be undetected. Whitetails will also run into other herds of deer so that their prey will chase another deer. The deer have a 4 chambered heart so they can run for a long period of time. Whitetails have very good eyesight, but their ears are the biggest weapon they have. Their ears are very sensitive and can hear things from a long ways away. Deer have an astonishing speed and amazing mobility that lets them escape…

Not only is hunting an exhilarating experience but so is the feeling of being surrounded by wilderness. During winter times since I was 12 years old, my father would take me out on long drives in the middle of winter to hunting sites just outside of Edmonton. What made the drive not seem so long was the scenic route we would always take. Every once in a while I would see little white rabbits hopping around and leaving miniature footprints all in the snow next to the road. Further down the road we would pass a fairly big hill that had two pine trees at the top of it. I always wondered how long they had been there considering the fact that they were over thirty feet high. Finally we would get to the hunting ground and make are way down to a little patch of brush where we would crouch and wait for the deer to pass by. The feeling of the cold snow crunching under my boots, the frost covered branches of the bush we were nestled under, and all the little footprints that surrounded us gave me a feeling of unity with nature. After hiding in our spots for a long while, usually until my feet and toes were completely frozen it seemed, my father would whisper “Here comes one right now”. A few moments later I’d hear a loud bang and we’d be back on the road with our trophy and bragging rights. We have carried on this tradition every…
