Narrative Essay-Does Oil Pulling Work?
Does Oil Pulling Work?

Of the many trend setting practices, oil pulling is rapidly becoming one of them. It seems now more than ever, people are placing much more emphasis on their appearance. The hair has to be styled a certain way and the body has to fit a certain mold. Well, how about that smile? The lips, many feel, should be full, but the teeth should be perfectly white. Oh yes, the smile is extremely important.
OMG... Becky, Look at Her Teeth
Everyone knows that a clean, fresh mouth is sexy. Many people spend hundreds at the dentist trying to keep their teeth white as possible. Others use this one trick that is relatively inexpensive and it doesn't require you to go trotting down to the dentist office.

The results weren't exactly as everyone said... they were better! My smile has never been so bright and appealing. It's changed the way I talk and I even smile first when I greet people. I knew then that oil pulling was not a trend, it was a lifestyle change.

At first, it made me a little dizzy, but I remembered to call my friend at the health food store where I bought the oil from. She told me to relax and breath while administering the treatment and to shorten the length of time to swish and the amount of oil just a little bit. I tried it the next day and the problem went away.

Now, while my friend is a certified nutritionist, she said there isn't any clinical evidence to prove the added benefits of oil pulling, nonetheless, the evidence of whiter teeth cannot be ignored. It seems to be a safe alternative to costly whitening treatments and to using many of grandmother's home remedies.

Recommendations
After testing the theory for myself, I can recommend oil pulling with confidence. It took away the coffee stains and I can rest assured that my breath won't offend anyone. Did I mention my gums were healthier and that they are a shade lighter as well? Oil pulling has restored my gums to a much pinker

Television if full of advertisement and propaganda. As well as the internet with advertisement popups and clips on the sides of every webpage. Propaganda is information put out by an organization or government to promote and idea or cause. Many of these are misleading and bias, trying to make you believe in the same things they do and convince you to participate in whatever cause they are in. Think about some of the commercials you seen on television such as news reports, movies, political ads, and recall ads. The most memorable to me are recall ads such as lawyers making announcements for medicines and compensation. As well as when election time comes around and all of the runners are putting their names out there. Also, every day, watching the news on new crimes going on in the world and previews for my next favorite movie. Those are all different techniques of propaganda. The purpose of me writing this essay is to show you the propaganda in a simple informative commercial or newscast. My main focus will be on the BP oil spill.…

The report includes a secondary research through scholarly and professional articles about the health benefits of using natural care products and health risk of using other dental hygiene products, and how we can make the switch to natural products. Also included are the results of primary research through a survey (with a sample of people aged between 18 and 35 years old) about their oral care products. The results of this survey were that the majority of these people use several oral care products on a daily basis, and would prefer to use natural products to chemical-based oral products. In order to start introducing Tom’s of Maine oral care products to our patients, we will need to educate our staff and patients about the company’s mission and products, and the importance to switch to a natural alternative.…

It will take a few weeks to see results, but only if a person is committed. Overall the price is fair, and a handful of oil is not required to cover the hair. It leaves the hair smelling pleasant, and the healthy ingredients will strengthen the hair. Breakage while using the product should be kept in mind, is it reducing breakage or causing it? I noticed a significant decrease in breakage. This product deserves an excellent rating from me because of the expected results. If fits my criteria of a moisturizing item, because it avoids pore clogging ingredients. It does not have a pungent smell of chemicals which can damage the hair. It can be used daily, or even twice a week, and will soothe itchiness. It did not cause any buildup on my scalp either, so it will not lead to frequent washing. Some products can lead to buildup from silicones. It avoided dimethicone, a type of silicon that can be found in conditioners, and hair care that can lead to buildup. I was pleased to find no alcohol listed in the ingredients. Women should stick to essential oils, and water based moisturizers while avoiding grease, or…

    P&G vs Colgate

Introduced in September 2002, Colgate’s ‘Simply White’ posed a threat to P&G’s dominant market share in the over- the-counter teeth whitening product category. Colgate emphasized that its product bleached teeth as effectively as P&G’s Crest Whitestrips and priced it at a significant 65% lower than Whitestrips which allowed it to gain almost 50% market share. Although concept tests done by P&G indicated that consumers perceived both products to be equal in terms of whitening levels, P&G’s internal scientific data suggested that the whitening level for Whitestrips was 5 times higher than Simply White. Thus P&G is faced with the core issue - Whether Simply White works as well as Whitestrips and how can P&G regain its market share by communicating the superior effectiveness of its product vis-a-vis Simply White to the consumers, in turn disproving Colgate’s claim of an equally good yet cheaper product.…
