As a marketing manager in Nandos', I should make decisions within the strategies and plans made by top management. Currently, our company decides to bring Nandos' campaign to China, because of this, I will research and produce the situation analysis for Nandos'.
Nandos has strengths are of importance for its development in china.
1. Nandos’ restaurant propagates the concept of nutritious meals. It provides customers with various kinds of healthy diets, including flame-grill chicken with a peri-peri sting, freshly prepared salads and sandwiches. Hence, health-conscious consumers are highly valued for these. What’s more, the restaurant offers costumers high-quality food and wide range of sauces. Nandos insists on using only A-grade quality chicken, which fulfills the higher consumer satisfaction toward taste. 2.Nandos’ restaurant has a high reputation. It is conducive to advertise and gain loyalty from customers.
3.Nandos has advanced human resource management. It has provided the staff with training program for improving their communication skills and problem-solving skills and for enhancing their understanding of how to cope with pressure.

On the other hand, the weakness of Nandos is obvious.
1. The food in Nandos may not suit Chinese’s eating habits. For example, Chinese favor boiled vegetable and rice, whereas Nandos offers salads and sandwiches. The traditional habits are fairly persistent, although Chinese flavor may alter resulting from the increasing number of foreign restaurant entering Chinese market. So Nandos’ food has to be diversified and localized, because Nandos has to build profitable relationships with local customers by satisfying their needs.
From the microenvironment point of view, Nandos has essential opportunities.
1. People‘s curiosity can bring profit for Nandos. For example, if our company set a branch restaurant in China and our suppliers are still from our country .People in China will feel curious about our restaurant and would

After visiting these five restaurants I found that in general the service was satisfactory, although some restaurants were providing higher quality service than others. For example, Q-doba’s and Giovanni’s operations were focused primarily on speed of service rather than customer experience. While Wild Ginger and Backyards Bistro were focused on delivering an overall dining experience which included not only good food but a certain ambiance with waiters to take your order and a hostess to seat you; this was much different from the assembly line speed with which Giovanni’s or Q-doba’s operate. Mr. Wraps, adheres to neither of these operational approaches it is primarily a take-out place with a sporty ambiance and quick service. Observing each of these restaurants it became clear that speedy service and a good product were not the only important qualities to satisfying a customer. In general it was important to the customer, me, that the employee be personable, genuinely interested in making my experience a…

I used to work as part time in a Chinese restaurant. Every time, when I got calls from ordering, I found most of the Americans would order sesame chicken, orange chicken. The reason that people tended to order these foods was because the way Chinese restaurant cooked these dishes was similar to the American cook style. In the American diet, Fry is a major cooking style. Moreover, when the raw material is chicken, fry and grill are the two most common cooking methods. However, even people who order these dishes think they eat the real Chinese food; the fact is that there is no relationship between those chicken dishes and real Chinese foods. When Chinese foods spread to America, for the purpose for adapting American ritual, people who own Chinese restaurants begin to use American cook styles more often. Furthermore, in order to adapt Americans’ flavor, Chinese restaurants begin to introduce different sources, when…

The main highlight of all the problems resides in what suggestions do come out for them. The steps are being taken by the company itself. Nando’s New Zealand has the knowledge regarding the role they need to play for the environment they live in. According to the reports (nandos.co.nz, 2007,2008) there has been 17% increase in the casual audience who like the restaurant and are regular visitors. Their aim is: “To increase footfall, sales and brand favourability amongst an ‘occasional’ Nando’s audience (people who only visit the restaurants once or twice a year) throughout 2013.”(Kean, 2012) .Now the question arises of intense marketing techniques which the restaurants in New Zealand lack as compared to UK.. The main idea is to target the audience that eats out most of the times and convert them from occasional customers to Nando’s followers. Most of Nando 's revenue comes from the customer who visits Nando 's once or twice a year but eats out at least once a month (Kean, 2012). Demographically, these people are 35-54 year old with 1-3 children living in suburban areas in the NZ (Mintel (b), 2012).. Therefore this is brief knowledge regarding the company on what basis are they working and their aim of increasing their target market which according to me can be done through various management techniques.…

As there is over-demand of the HK$1 steamed chicken, a large amount of chicken need to be prepared everyday. Therefore, the food quality control cannot be maintained as before. As a result, many customers are not satisfied with the taste of the chicken and causes food waste. To deal with the food quality problem, I suggest changing the chicken dish into a dessert or a fruit dish. These two dishes can be prepared in a large amount to fulfill the demand of customers and also the taste can be kept for a long time. Moreover, you may produce the same dish in different portions for customers to order so that food waste can be reduced.…
