Namaste Business Plan
HORSEHEADS (WENY) - A one of a kind health and wellness business has recently opened its doors in Horseheads.
Monday, the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce formally welcomed Namaste Event, Spa and Wellness Center to the area with a ribbon cutting.

It's a place to relax, find your balance, and get pampered all in one place. Namaste owners Kimberly Rossi and John Maloney told say they wanted a place that incorporated relaxation into services. That's where Namaste came from. "The business plan was to take these individual services, massage, esthetics, salon services, cosmetology services and get everything in one location. So we can really contribute to the wellness of the community," explains Maloney.

They offer yoga classes for kids three and up and Kimberly says she was inspired by her six year old to create a "Kids Room" near the enterance. "We have a really nice room where these kids can get their hair, nails, and makeup done so it'svery fun! Then as they get older, teen parties," explains Rossi.

Namaste also has a full salon, 4 massage rooms, 2 esthetics rooms, an 8 person steam room and Maloney says something new to the area, a 3 person infrared dry sauna. "Our infrared dry sauna heats your core directly. So only 20 percent of the heat generated by the far infrared heat waves actually heat the air. So 80 percent of the heat waves that are generated by the heat waves, heat your core directly," explains Maloney. He explains it causes your body to heat from the inside out, getting rid of toxins through your sweat.

No matter what service you're there to get, the couple wanted to make sure you're relaxed before you even begin with a relaxation room. "So we are encouraging people when they come for services to come a half an hour early and sit in the relaxation room either with a friend or whoever you may come with. We're also encouraging people to come by themselves and just take time out of there day to sit and relax even if it just for ten or 15 minutes before or after their service," says
