Having that mindset so early on I knew in high school, I had to work to the best of my ability to be able to go to college to make my dreams come true.
I specifically want to be a NICU nurse. My cousin Cora was my inspiration. When she was born, she had to go to the NICU right away. We were unable to see her for a couple days. As soon as we left the hospital, I started researching the NICU and instantly fell in love with it. From that day on I knew that I wanted to be those nurses saving babies that are grasping on to dear life. I want to be able to use my nursing degree to save as many babies as possible.
However, College is not cheap. Especially when you live in a one parent's income house and your parents didn’t start a saving fund for college when you were born. Having scholarship would benefit me so much. I wouldn't have to worry about my family going bankrupt again because they are trying to pay for my college. It would alleviate so much financial stress. I teach kids gymnastics ranging from 3 years to 12 years.

At the camp we did OR and ER day. Completed two job shadows. Mine were in MRI/CT and Primary care of pediatrics.
