Surgeon – Dr. Slater
Responsibilities- The responsibilities of a Cardiovascular Surgeon is that they perform numerous surgery that includes valve replacement, heart bypass surgery and fixing congenital heart defects.
Physician Assistant- Lenny
Responsibilities- The key function of a surgical Physician Assistant is to assist the physician in the global management of patient care in pre-, intra- and post-operative settings.
Scrub Nurse- Maria
Responsibilities-The major role of the Scrub Nurse is that they are making sure that all material that are need are there for the Physician Assistant and the Surgeon. The Scrub Nurse usually gets the material and make sure they are sterile.
Circulating Nurse- Terry
Responsibilities-The major role of the Circulating Nurse is that they are taking all of the notes electronically and they are facilitates the room.
Perfusionist -Andrew and Angela
Responsibilities-A perfusionist is a specialized healthcare professional who uses the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and other surgeries that require cardiopulmonary bypass to manage the patient's physiological status.
Responsibilities- The anesthesiologist is the physician who provides medical care to each patient throughout his or her surgical experience. This includes medically evaluating the patient before surgery consulting with the surgical team, providing pain control and supporting life functions during surgery supervising care after surgery and discharging the patient from the recovery unit.
