My Writing Course Reflection
In this course, my ability to write has widely changed. I feel that I have become a better writer overall. As my writing skills advanced throughout this course, I have realized that it will help me in the future. By analyzing my progress as a writer, I will be able to discuss what I learned about myself as a writer, how I greatly improved, and how I developed my own style of writing through the use of different assignments that are presented in my portfolio.
Throughout this course, I have learned many things about myself as a writer. The most interesting thing that I learned about myself is that I like writing straight to the point. If a question is present, I like to answer it with little details as possible. I like to include all the important information and continue on with the essay. In the future, I can learn to be more detailed with my work which will have a more effective communication with readers. As for difficulty, I have always had trouble with creating cohesive papers. I tend to write whatever is on my mind when writing my essays, and as I write, sometimes my thoughts can be unorganized. When taking my experience of a theme park and describing it in an essay, I am able to express how I feel to readers effectively. As for my ethos as a writer, I have learned how to take what I have felt at that moment of experience and discuss it to readers so they can truly understand what and how I feel about the situation I am discussing, which can work for different types of essays. As I continue my progress as a writer, I have learned that it is important to recognize how to effectively communicate with my audience so that I can get my feelings about a certain subject across as well as so readers can understand my message and they can create their own

In the past a thousand weeks, I feel like I have accomplished a great deal. As the quarter ends, I find myself reflecting not only how I have survived my fifth quarter but also what I have learned. The most important thing I have learned so far is how to become a better writer. I did not think it could really happen to me. I did not think I could handle all the work. I did not think I could actually become a better writer. Somehow, after all the hours of writing, and putting effort into my papers that I wrote in this quarter, I became a better writer. I did this because I concentrated on two very important areas. With help from an awesome teacher and my partner, I have become a better writer by improving my skills in the areas of procrastination and content.…

The art of writing is a unique skill that requires the writer to have great flexibility and be open to improvement. Some may consider themselves a “perfect writer”, when in reality, no one is, and will ever be. Writing is a process that requires one to continuously build on skills learned in previous situations, applying new techniques and strategies to future writing projects. Different settings require different writing styles, and with that being said, one must be willing to change their writing skills to suit the requirements of their current setting. In the following essay I will reflect on past writing assignments, identifying my best and worst writing courses, strengths and weaknesses as a writer, and my opinion on why writing may or may not be beneficial to me throughout my career.…

In school, we have been required to write many papers on many different subjects, some being timed and others not. Writing has never been something that has come easy to me, especially when put on the spot and told to write a paper in a certain amount of hours. When I write, I like to have time to think and plan my essay. Being able to revise and edit the paper makes it even better than it was before. When I am given the time to plan my essay, the writing has more depth than when I am put on the spot and have no time to think about what will go into my paper.…

My work from the beginning of STEP to now has drastically changed especially in my writing. I never enjoyed writing essays because I did not do well with writing under pressure. After completing my essay, I felt confident about what I produced. However ,when my essay was handed back, it was noted that I lacked vocabulary, figurative language and my sentence structure was poor. After being in class, I have improved on my essay writing skills. I used more vocabulary terms than I usually would in my essays, had better sentence structure, and completed the entire essay with time to spare to check it over. In addition I learned that i have been using seven deadly writing sins in my writing. Continuously writing and having my peers edit my work helped me eliminated those sins from my writing. When school starts again, I will be prepared to write a timed essay with the new skills I have attained.…

I have learned more in the five weeks of this dual enrollment class than I have in my previous years of both my middle school years and my freshman/sophomore year. My previous years have mostly been just trying to fine tune my acquired skills from elementary and middle school. Although, it has worked I still think that those courses did not allow me to flourish into the experienced writer than I am capable of becoming. The individual and collaborative techniques that professor Belmont has taught us have greatly heightened my skills in…

learned that to write an effective Essay you should first drift the topic of your essay for example make a diagram of the topic or issues you are going to talk about in your Essay. The topic should be in the middle and start to think about the subjects that are related to your topic, or subjects that will help you get your point across to your readers more affectively. I’ve also learned that by visualizing your story from the beginning to the end can help you to see the picture of what you want to talk about, what can be also helpful is while you visualizing your story you should write down as much information as possible in case you…

Throughout the 2016-2017 school year, I have discovered new concepts and increased my skills in english writing and literature. I believe that these works presented best represent the growth I had this year, though I feel like I could write with a higher quality. My writing, reading, and analyzing skills in English have improved throughout this year through multiple essays, annotations, and figurative language assignments. In the writing pieces, my strength is mainly in creative writing and research projects, as I learned from the assignment. Though I have grown, I am convinced that I can still increase my writing quality in the future.…
