My Worldview: The Ransom Of Red Chief

When it comes down to people and their worldview on different situations, many are different when compared to the next person. When asking a person for his or her worldview not only are you asking them for their personal opinion, but you are also asking them to look from a different perspective. Within this paper I plan to give my standpoint on the meaning of worldview. While also expressing my worldview believe about God, the creation and the natural world, about humankind, about epistemology, about ethics and how I came to form my own personal worldview. While deliberating my in relationship to the worldview expressed by a secular short story, “The Ransom of Red Chief” by O. Henry.

Epistemology is the investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion. My belief about epistemology is at first I didn’t understand what the definition of the word epistemology, but after reading the definition I have more of a clear understanding. So my beliefs about epistemology or how a person knows think is based on the crowds that they associate themselves with. If you associated yourself with people who actually is living the same lifestyle as you then you guys will think like Christian and do things that Christians would normally do. Whereas if you hung out with people who was a part of the world. That aren’t trying to live for Christ, then you would slowly find yourself wanting to participate in activities knowing that it’s not like Christ. I can remember, a sermon my Pastor preached about at church. The scripture he uses was Proverbs 12:26, which simply states that the righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way is of the wicked leads them astray. Coming from a person point of view, I can honestly relate to this bible verse. I remember at one point in my life I felt as if I could have friends and actually hang with them. While yet knowing that we were both living two different types of lifestyles. Well little did I know that not only did I allow them to steer me off course, but it was also like they had me blindfolded because I fell to realize that the type of friends I associated myself with was not the best for
