My Theme Song
9. My Theme Song A theme song that I chose for myself was Some Things Never Change by Foesum. Whenever I play this song I usually feel two emotions: joy and sadness. The sadness comes from not being able to see friends from high school as much as I was used to. The joy comes from knowing although we do not see each other as much we will always be there for each other. This song was a part of my life growing up in high school, all my friends listened to the same genre of music called G-Funk. Whenever this song comes up on my music player I remember the good times I had with my friends. The lyrics in the chorus go: Some things never change, ain't it strange? How things just remain the same. The meaning behind this chorus is that no matter where life takes you, there are some things about that will never change about yourself. My favorite verse comes in the beginning and it was by MNMsta and it goes:
Now I never knew life would get this hectic/
I find myself caught up, more than I expected/
But I still take time out to make my rounds/
And kick it with the homies to show I'm still down/
'cause I never forget where I been and what we went through/
To go to this point of this game that we're into/

Although I get caught up in work, school and other daily obstacles, when it comes to hanging out with my close friends; I can always call them and spend time with them. Even though it is not like old times, I can still show them that I am still capable of spending time with them.

1996 movie Excalibur, as a battle song, the masterful theme song for Excalibur often gets over looked. What makes the theme song of Excalibur one of my favorite listens, is the story told it tells. I imagine being on my horse wearing my majestic armor, riding slow, dramatic, with purpose towards the gates of Camelot, flanked by King Arthur and his knights, and then horses began to hasten and the soft prelude becomes a rhythmic gallop that climbs like the songs suspenseful Bridge, and we engage…

My Theme Song Before “Wrecking Ball,” like many other young, ten year old girls, Miley Cyrus was my idol! What made her my idol was that she was living her dream, and I wanted to do just the same. I would listen to all her music, watch her T.V. show “Hannah Montana”, and I even had a Hannah Montana birthday party. In 2009, she released a song that I listened to, but never understood the words. As a thirteen year old girl, I did not realize the impact her lyrics would have on me. My theme song is…

Since I have decided to study abroad, I have been faced a lot of problems in my life that make me stumble sometimes. “Through the Rain”, sung by Mariah Carey, has lyrics that sometimes touch my heart, so it easily became my favorite song. It became one of my favorite songs because of its inspirational lyrics and the powerful…

2010 English 151-28 My favorite song When asked to write an essay about my favorite song, I thought this would be easy. After several days of contemplation, I decided this was not going to be as easy as I thought. However, I did manage and decided that “Sky’s The Limit” from The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 album titled “Life After Death”, had to be my favorite. It features vocals from the band 112 and somber production from Clark Kent. It contains a sample from the song "My Flame" by Bobby Caldwell…

Getting Better My theme song is "Getting Better" by The Beatles. The Beatles were an English rock band formed in 1960. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, members of The Beatles, became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several musical styles, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements…

Macbeth Theme Songs King Duncan: Betrayed by Avenged Sevenfold I think that the song Betrayed would be an appropriate theme song for King Duncan for a few different reasons. First off, as it says in the title of the song he betrayed by Macbeth. The song itself is written about a guitarist of a very popular band from the 80s and 90s called Pantera, who was shot and killed while on stage by one of his fans. Fans to rock and roll bands are like their loyal subjects and this fan betrayed him by…

“Georgia on my mind” is a classical, jazz record that was a hit that shot to number one on the billboards, but the song also was so famous that the state of Georgia had adopted the song as their own. In the 1960s, the civil rights movement was going on and many people were protesting because of how the floor was only for whites-only and they had one section for blacks and he refused to play at his event in Augusta, Georgia. When Ray Charles decided to not perform, the stadium placed a fine on him…

My Theme Song “Never would have made it” by Marvin Sapp is my theme song. If it had not been for the Lord, who was on my side I would have not made it to where I am at today in my life’s journey. Peer pressure, losing friends, and getting closer to God has been a huge portion of my senior year. “Peer pressure is the influence from members of one’s peer group,” according to Merriam Webster’s Dictionary. I would blame others for the decisions and mistakes that I chosen to make. Although I have…

My Meaningful Song Do you have a song that has a deeper meaning then just another song that comes on the radio? Well I believe that most everyone does one way or another. For me that song happens to be Bad Moon Rising by Credence Clearwater Revival. The reason behind this is when I was younger and before he passed away my grandpa used to play this song on the guitar and sing it to me all the time. I would like to give a little background on my grandfather. At least what I remember of him because…
