My Spiders: A Short Story: Marty Muffet
“Ahhhhh, a spider, a spider, I hate spiders, help!”, Miss Muffet shrieked as she ran away. What Miss Muffet couldn’t hear over her shrieking was the cracking of the branch and a thud right by her tuffet. 1:08 pm. I Marty Muffet was intensely studying the inside of my eyelids when I hear screaming from downstairs, and as it wakes me up I know for sure that the commotion is coming from my older sister Miss Mindy Muffet, or Miss Muffet. I fly down the stairs to see if the yelling is anything juicy. I come to realize it is only Miss Muffet yelling about a spider, and how she doesn’t want to go back to her tuffet alone. As a quietly try to make my way back upstairs mom yells, “Marty, will you go with your sister back to her tuffet to …show more content…
“Oh no, no, No, where could it be,” she cried frantically. “Help me find it!” “Find what?”, I asked. “The coupons for my curds and whey, I had about 90 coupons stashed in the legs of my tuffet, and now they are gone,” I wanted to ask why she kept coupons in her chair, but I thought now is not the time to ask. I wondered if they were stolen. I walked over to the tuffet to look inside the legs when I saw a snagged piece of what seem to be checkered pants. Now that I see the cloth, I think I am pretty sure that the coupons were not just missing they were stolen by someone. But Who? My clues were the piece of clothing, fresh footprints, fallen tree branch, broken tuffet, and the electronic spider with the company address on the back. I told Miss Muffet what I thought was happening and she put together the first piece. “Maybe the fake spider was a way to scary me away from the tuffet,” “If that was the plan how did someone hide from you while you were eating, there is no bushes or trees around expect for this one...hey, maybe the crook was hiding up in the tree with the spider, and waited to swipe the coupons in till they had frightened you

On a random Sunday afternoon, waking suddenly to the sound this heavy pounding, sounding like an elephant stampede coming closer and closer. Knowing who will be charging in my room, I brace myself for her intrusion. Amanda, my older sister, swiftly opens the door, not even knocking. Moving quickly, as she plops down on my bed. Her feet dangling over the bed, being too short to have her feet touch the ground. A devilish grin forms across her face, instantly I know she wants something. Giving her a blank stare, I sit noticing her hair is all over the place, like bad sex hair.…

At one-thirty in the afternoon, Carolee Mitchell was running the vacuum cleaner, or she would have heard the first sirens and looked out. After the first, there weren’t any others. The calling voices, even the number of dogs barking, could have been students on their way back to school, high-spirited in the bright, cold earliness of the year. Thinking back on the sounds, Carolee remembered a number of car doors being slammed, that swallow of air and report which made her smooth her hair automatically even if she wasn’t expecting anyone. But what caught her eye finally was what…

A chilling breath of wind assaulted her deadened cheeks for it was a rough night and the stars had cowardly hid away behind the dull, mute clouds. The predatory moon, bright and full; crept behind the cloudy sky stalking me as prey. Her voiceless shadow stumbled drunkenly as she battled through the hawkish rain to find shelter for the night. Her car had broken down a mile or so back. It had been hours since the sunlight faded to dark; hours since she'd been stranded in this deserted place. She was miles away from her home, she was very frightened. She just stood there, crying; wishing someone could help when, suddenly, a small old lady seemed to appear from no-where. She was extremely short with long, obsidian hair and a narrow, cadaverous face. "Please help me," the young girl begged, her teeth chattering loudly.…
